Looks like Brinkley backed up the Brinks truck. Glad to see a program actually try to invest in a great coach instead of playing local politics. Great hire for the Mounties.
And just think. Normally we hear of coaches going from N.C. to S.C. But here this is opposite. Anyway yes this sounds like a great hire.
I am curious as to why he would take NC head coaching job when I'm sure he could have several SC jobs and make more money.
Probably draws retirement in SC, so he can get two paychecks. If he took an SC job, he would probably have to give up his retirement.
So what cronies is he bringing along? Is it true JM and BC both are part of the deal? What happens to the DC? The one that many in KM lobbied for? Herron is a defensive guy right? So does the DC go to LB coach? Asking for a friend

How close was North Gaston when they had A.J. Blue? They were good for that one season.
Are you comparing Kings Mountain to the North Gaston and Cherryville programs. Yes South Pointe has better talent pool to pull from but KM doesn’t lack for athletes like North Gaston and Cherryville.

Does a great KM hire actually hurt Shelby or Burns? Could it help? I see promises made last year being broken because they were made by someone not there anymore. Not saying it is happening but could you blame rising seniors looking for a transfer when it might be the start of a 2-3 year building block or at least that’s what some may be thinking or even being told. I’ve always heard changes at the top makes changes throughout and sometimes gets things out of order and take a little time to smooth out again.
