for the prima donna that he is, he's not worth it, honestly. He got owned on the boards ALL DAY LONG.

And I certainly think this game and the last indicate that the Barry Stewart abuse is getting weak as crap.

even if it means benching our leading scorer in Ravern. Barry and Dee have their spots on lock.

It comes down to Phil being the only bench player we have that can reliably defend the 4, so he's the only one that can back up Kodi.

Did you even watch the game? I already know you weren't there.
Ravern was >>> than Kodi today (and Ravern was awful).

he has started shooting a lot better, and gives the most effort except for maybe bost. When ravern isn't shooting well, he isn't much better than benock.

that needs to sit. Kodi drove to the hoop several times and made some big baskets. Plus he gives us more size and rebounding. Gotta go with Kodi starting over Ravern... plus if you don't start Kodi, you might have team issues start developing.

but he has been much better than Kodi on the year as a whole. Kodi is a lazy waste of great talent. It's a damn shame.

Kodi's lack of defense directly led to at least 10 points on the other side. Ravern wasn't good, but it was Kodi who was out of position on the same play FIVE TIMES.
See, that's how I know you didn't watch the game.

it's simple, Ravern is TOO predictable on offensive. Yes, I love having him in there out of the wing for the 3 pt thread.. but when they are out on him, he basically becomes non existant. Plus he is our weakest defender. Get a clue!

Ravern has been much more valuable to us over course of the last two seasons, and you're just dumb if you think Kodi is a better shooter. Ravern has a much quicker release, more elevation on his shot, and more range, giving him the ability to get off more shots, plus he can shoot with a hand in his face. Osby could really give us the same thing that kodi does

yes, bench our top scorer. Why? Because he couldnt guard me. We will more than make-up his points with Turner in the line-up to help make the defense better. Plus, Ravern can then come in and provide some instant offense, because thats all he is good for.

hey are both horrible defenders. Ravern provides scoring more consisitently than Kodi, and frankly doesnt run his mouth, pout, and think he is Michael Jordan. You can shove your clue up your ***.

including the espn announcers (Nessler, Dykes) said that Kodi is our best over all player. So you want to bench our best player? DA

Are you actually saying you think Kod is our best player, and are calling me a dumbass? Really? The sad thing is he has the body and skills to be our best player, but he is missing a more important part, and that is his mind. He is a dumb player, that is lazy and constantly out of position. 50% of his drives result in a travel or charge. If you take anything ESPN analysts say as gospel, that's your business. I don't put much stock into those guys. If that makes me a dumbass, so be it.

besides you, coach34, and espn announcers, I haven't seen anyone else on here suggest Kodi is our best player. That is ridiculous.

I wouldnt say he is the best player, but i would say he is our most talented player. As in the player with the most talent/potential.

But he hasnt put his **** together, so it doesnt translate on a consistent basis.

I totally agree as I said a few posts back in the thread. He has the potential, but right now he is nowhere near our best player. He has the ability to be unstoppable, but it doesn't look like he will ever come close to doing so.

Because they are usually spot on with most of their babble. Fact is those guys dont follow MSU enough to know who the best player on the team is. And while Kodi might have more talent than anyone on the team, he surely isnt the best player on the team

and personally i don't think Kodi is our best player, but i can tell you it's not Ravern either. Phil should be the first off the bench and he needs to come in at the 2, 3 or 4. Whichever is needed at the time. Bennock is the one out there that is eating minutes when he is basically a waste of space.

It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Varnado and Bost are the best and more importantly, most VALUABLE players on our team. Take either of them out, and we're average in a hurry.
Take Kodi out, and we might possibly become better, but we sure as hell aren't worse w/ the combo of Osby/Turner in his spot. Last year proved we can win with or without him, and w/ Osby improving, I'd be fine going without

Ravern at least provides us w/ something different than any other guy on the team, and he's capable of going off for 20-25 at any given time. Defenses have to be aware of where he is at all times, and he has to be planned for since he extends the defense.
