I'd imagine the RAC atmosphere impressed him. The crowd was electric early so he got to see what it can be

If we won a close game, the RAC would have exploded but it's still better that he was here for this game than Nebraska by a mile

Unfortunately the team did not impress. This hurts.

Teng is a 2024 recruit that would be on a Rutgers roster not including most of the current players. At the same time losing a game isn't what you want a recruit to watch on a visit.

Sure proved relevant to Ace Bailey (no I’m not saying he wouldn’t have committed otherwise, but he said the dub over OSU propelled him to commit on the spot)
If you really think Ace Bailey came here because we did well in one game you are dead wrong. There is a 3 letter acronym that got him to come here, not a game performance

Not an opinion, just facts....pay attention to the recruiting cycle and the podcasts.
Results of the game can definitely impact positively. Look at Ace, he probably commits anyway but does so after the game because of the result. As for losing a game, I don’t think it has much impact. Teams all over the country lose games, recruits know that. Now, what could negatively effect a recruit is how the players/coaches react to losing. Are they bickering fighting etc showing the recruit a bad culture? If so, that could leave a bad taste after a visit.

NIL, why are we afraid to speak of this. dude got paid, he doesn't care about RU lol he got his pay day will be here for a year and then go off to the NBA. Happy we got him, not happy how we got him
He wants to be at RU. You think RU is the only school offering NIL? He's a top 5 national player. He could go to any school he wants. He could get more in NIL elsewhere

I have a hard time believing Rutgers is going to offer more money to a top 10 recruit than Auburn or Kentucky
Why? Before he committed it was widely reported NIL would be a major factor. Do you think that wasn't true?
Kentucky has 4 of the top 7 in 2023 committed, maybe they didn't want to commit that much $$ to a 2024 yet?

Because we don't have the level of fanaticism as those schools and are new to the NIL concept. We have a growing fan base for basketball but it's not a religion up here the same way it is in the south. Maybe times have changed and we can raise as much as those other schools now.

That seems to be the theme for UK every year. Somehow it hasn't translated on the court.

I get that part. The part I'm talking about is where pre-commit it was widely reported it was all about NIL with this kid and after he commits with Rutgers some people seem to think it couldn't have been NIL.
Is there any reason to believe the importance of NIL with him changed? or wasn't accurately reported pre-commit?
It's ONE player. If we're talking about overall team NIL, I agree.
