I know, I know. You are wondering how in the world one of the best offenses in college coached by one of the best coaches in college ball would only win by 5 against the worst offense coached by the worst coach in college basketball. Easy, we have far, far superior talent. We just don't have a church-league-level coach to make 'em any good.

I think the crowd in a basketball game gives more energy and can effect the outcome of a game more than any other sport.

if the offense is "Just Shoot It" or "NoOffenseAtAll" (another post in this thread) as compared to what many are calling one of the best offenses in the country, then why in the hell are you guys predicting this game to be so close? i just don't get that. i predict us to lose big based on the same damn information. i guess i am not taking into account home court? or that our defense is that good that we slow them down a ton?

in other words, if we are so damn bad on offense and they are so good, how do you predict a close game Coach? i am sure there is a logical or simple answer but i am curious what it is.

MSU 72 UK 79

As for streetball, i really dont always know who that refers to since UK plays some seriously sloppy basketball at times. The LVL game was one of the sloppiest ive seenin years.
...i know how you kids like em extra sloppy!

UK= harnesed chaos. But when that harness loosens, its all over the place.

I always pick against State in Tournament pools because evreybody else picks them. I'll go against the grain again. Keep in mind this is in no way how I truly feel what the outcome of this game will be.

My opinion has always been that home-court advantage is greater in basketball that any other sport. But I don't think this alone can account for what DerHntr is pointing out. One of the best offensive coaches/teams in the country should be able to beat the worst offensive coach/team in the country every time, no matter where they play, by double digits.

at least the reasoning behind it was. This post is just the logical solution to your question. No sarcasm needed.

i think its more that we poor mouth our offense so much around here that i just don't get it when the prediction thread comes to pass and one of the most adamant opponents to what we do on offense picks us to lose to the number two team in the country, who clearly has a great offense, only by 6.

.. besides the opening game debacle, we haven't gotten blown out by anybody. I know we haven't played anybody of Kentucky's caliber but there is a lot of parity in college basketball and the top five this year is not a sure thing. Last time I checked nobody on this boardis acollege basketball analyst and nobody wants to say there team is going to get destroyed.

dude....there are TONS of analysts on here. just ask them/me. we are awesome.

/i don't want to say we are going to get destroyed but i can take off the maroon colored glasses and try to look at the facts. KY is that good and our offense is very suspect. this isn't to say that we might have a game that all of the threes finally start falling but i am not holding my breath. i'd be pleased if we keep it close but find it surprising that those who think our offense is one of the worst will predict a less than ten point game with KY.
