..a team with one scorer that played great defensethat night to stop dribble penetration. And yes I know we failed miserably trying to do that against fortson.

MSU 77 UK 74

Two technicals called. Three players total fouled out. Blood-soaked floor. Tourney talk continues again. UK drops to #4 in the country. MSU still has no votes.

Never thought I would be one of the few optimist here. I have seen UK play many times this season, and while they have all-American talent, they are not the same caliper as Kansas.

The biggest concern is Cousins who is coming into his power/finesse game nicely. If Kodi and Osby can keep him away from Jarvis, they will be good.

This game needs to be a break-out game for Jarvis offensively. If Stewart has to guard Wall the whole time, it will affect his offense, which is the only consistent outside shot MSU has had in recent weeks. Not ideal.

MSU will have to play a perfect game, super intense defense, shoot 40+% FG, and rotate players/speed. Home crowd will have to help the Bulldogs big time. It's going to be like the days when Pittino came to town with the Wildcats. Wish I could be there.

Kansas and Kentucky are a step above everyone.

After KU and UK, there is a group of eight that has a chance to join them in the Final Four

Duke
Villanova
Syracuse
West Virginia
Wake Forest
Pittsburgh
Tennessee
Texas

I bet that the Final Four comes from these ten teams. Kansas State, Georgetown, Purdue, etc. will be seeded highly, but are poised for the upset.

I hope we make the tournament as a 12 or 13 seed opposite New Mexico or BYU as the 4 or 5. There is no way either of those teams could hang with us.

If Kentucky played in the Big East, no way would they be sitting at #2 in the country with 1 loss. The barely got past UConn (who yes, beat Nova) and L'ville, two middle of the pack BE teams, Carolina, a bottom feeder from the ACC, and Stanford, a bottom feeder from the Pac 10. I can't wait for bracket time when 90% of America puts them in the Final Four and I take them out a round before that.

Didn't expect Nova to lose at home to UConn, but also didn't expect them to run the table through the Big East. They still have some tough ones left....Cuse, WVU, Pitt, etc. We'll know more about them in a couple of weeks.

With UK being up by more than 18 at atleast one point during the game. We love to make amazing comebacks....... that only get us to within about 5 points.
