I know that it seemed like Rutgers could only get "co players of the week", but that tide is turning now. It probably helps that the play on the field is better, but it seems to me that there is a bit more respect for the program now.
I don't think so. Not yet. Individual players, like KM, are earning respect. The FB program as a whole, not so much.
Why would anybody, who is not an RUFB fan, have respect for the FB program? What have we done since joining the Big Ten that warrants respect in FB?
IMO, there's a long way to go before respect will be earned. To earn real respect, we need to put together more than just a couple consecutive winning seasons and avoid major blowouts.
And if respect isn't earned, then it's not worth a damn thing. It's just people being polite, which is nice and all, but isn't the same as respect.
