Man this whole story is just sad. Video apparently shows he didn’t cause crash. From my point of view he doesn’t. If you watch the video he is driving the green charger that shows up after the crash. Video starts at about 2:35.
To me the news outlets and social media really did this man in. It breaks my heart that he felt so alone that he felt taking his life was the only way out.

This is a sad story. If he had not killed himself would this evidence eventually come out and cleared him ?

Some people won’t ever see it.

You are just stumping for social justice virtue signaling.

Congrats, I guess?
"Virtue signaling" is just a meaningless buzzword for when people want to disagree with what you say but not offer a substantial critique.

Fair point, but you throwing all law enforcement under the bus is what is wrong with this country right now. Trump is trying to get law and order re-established in all our big cities, and guys like you crap on that In the name of "orange man bad"

One can hate the status of crime and lack of law and order in big cities while at the same time being appalled by the president sending American soldiers to American cities against the wishes of local leaders. It’s not always about being for or against a political party

I agree, in theory. In DC .....he had every right to do it.

There are a TON of citizens in Memphis, Portland, Chicago area that are thrilled to have some help for once. How many people have to die in these poorly-run cities for help to be justified?

I seriously doubt there’s much, if any, real help being done. This is just political grandstanding. And a dangerous precedent to set.

I believe in small central government. This is the opposite of that. Even if it works, the end cannot justify the means. The president using the national guard whenever he wants to try to fix domestic issues sets a dangerous precedent. One presidents after him with different viewpoints will be able to use if they so decide to

I suspect that's why he kneeled. Corrupt cops need to go to prison. Kaep, of course, never kneeled for the more than 12,000 black Americans murdered overwhelmingly by other black Americans each year in this country.

Is there anything wrong with being appalled with AG's , judges and prosecutors perpetually releasing criminals back on the streets of some cities in AMERICA to the point that AMERICANS don't feel safe visiting said cities ?

There really is a rush to judge on so many things in this country, well elsewhere too, as long as it confirms our biases and ideological priors. I know people who knew him and was told he was a decent guy. Obviously the state police and press contributed to the social media backlash against the guy and likely to his suicide. He was going to have a hard time making the NFL while still under suspicion although the grand jury was going to meet soon, see the new evidence, something that likely would go in his favor and the DA was likely going to resolve this in his favor too.

Of course there isn’t. Still don’t agree with the president wielding the kind of power he is now.
I absolutely agree with you but the thought of American cities deteriorating because the people entrusted with keeping the public safe are not doing their jobs should not be acceptable to ANYONE but unfortunately apparently it is. If not the President then who ?

Detroit has come a long way. They have heavily invested in the downtown area. There are still rough areas but they have done a pretty good job. Going to a tigers game and hitting the scene afterwards is a good time.

When you guys are done flinging sh*t at each other, maybe we can discuss the topic. This hurts my heart. We lost a young person who was actually innocent of what this cop claimed he did. I support law enforcement 100%, and one of the ways I support them is getting rid of the dirty ones. This cop needs to be prosecuted.

The poor in those cities seem to be happy having the help. It's the privilege whites who live in safe areas who have the problems. The Blue City Mayors and all Liberal Politicians are making decision based on their Trump hate and it's doing the people they represent an injustice.

This is correct. Detroit was once the murder capital of the world. I'm in the auto industry and have been to the Detroit area many times. It is not near as bad as Baltimore, Chicago, Memphis, Portland, or Jackson, MS. (Per capita, the worst....due to declining population)
