The conspiratorial part of me did sort of wonder when the rumors started surfacing last week if it wasn't just a ploy to not only get more money, but also make it look like Indiana got a "win" over Kentucky that their fans could gloat about on social media and make themselves feel better, because it seemed like we weren't heavily involved early on (or were just really quiet about it like this staff tends to do) because everyone just assumed he was going to Arkansas. If the UK track and field coach is his uncle then I doubt he's trying to pull a fast one on us.

I will say it's hard for a more loaded team to win a lot of these battles when the other team in the running simply has more shots to offer, but if Lamar's primary motivation for next season is Wins Per Game and not Points Per Game, then the choice is clearly going to be UK by a wide margin. I just hope the sky-is-falling lunatic fringe don't do what they do on here if this doesn't go our way, but I know that's asking too much.

Also, besides this helping our team, I'm really rooting for HeManMaggard to finally get one right so he can milk it for years to come. This definitely would be the UK "insider" version of Rory finally winning the Green Jacket.

If it is down to Kentucky and Indiana. Not even a choice. You come to Kentucky. Will be even more awesome to have him for the first game back in the UK/IU series.

Especially canceling all remaining visits after just being in Lexington this has to be a great sign for UK doesn’t it? I mean it isn’t like he cancelled his UK visit after just visiting IU. Here is to hoping we get him I believe he is that missing puzzle piece.

Graf says unlikely a decision comes today. Still could change.

Trilly says both sides are still confident.
Would make since that both sides are still confident. The way I have read this the whole time is Indiana is still very much in play or there would be no reason to go home and discuss with family and pray. There isn't a discussion unless there are more than one option. If it was always going to be Kentucky after his visit with us, then it was as simple as committing while here. I fully expect Indiana to reach out again and up their offer with it now only being Kentucky and Indiana. Also don't discount the fact that Indiana was the favorite going into this. Just saying. I hope he is a cat but some folks as normal are convinced he knows it is UK when I honestly needs to discuss with family to make a decision.

We need a list of all the "insiders" and their misses (and their poster believers) so we can remember when they pop up again next silly season with more nonsense.
They all claim a 90%+ accuracy rating because they change their prediction as soon as it's known who the pick will be.

Thanks Nike.

Seriously, why don't we drop Nike and become the top dog for UA, Reebok, Puma, heck even New Balance lol?
Heck….why not go all-in and bring back white, high top Chuck Taylor All-Stars?

I’ll never forget the first pair I had (now you know how ancient I am)😎

Talented and DEEP!! Rebounding and FT shooting should be improved. Would not be shocked to see this team average 90+
Very talented team. Not as experienced as last season’s team. Replacing a lot of fifth year Seniors with Sophomores and Juniors. There might be some growing pains early on, especially if Quaintance is unavailable to start the season. Good team though.

Sometimes with these kids it's not always about the $ it's about how they will fit in with the team. If he feels he won't fit in good with IU then the $ won't make a difference if UK is where he feels he fits in better.
I agree. Sometimes a kid wants a chance to win a tournament game while in college. Some schools you won’t get that no matter how much money they offer.

You’re right about the experience, but considering our most experienced players last year were the ones who missed the most games (Kriisa, Butler, Robinson and Carr), I don’t foresee there being much of a dropoff. And as much as I liked Ansley and Amari, I don’t think there’s any argument to be made that Kam and JQ aren’t upgrades.

This simply isn't true and yet here you are talking about something you know nothing about.

I can't speak for others but in the Trilly discord there is a history of every pick he makes and they do not change once he makes a prediction. Obviously he isn't making a prediction on every guy in the portal. For example he made an IU prediction weeks ago that is still there and won't change.

Lamar do you really want to wear red again and candy clown pants on top of that? The UK blue would look great on you. Their is no comparison between UK vs IU none whatsoever.
