Sorry guys he's going to the Hogs.
With Pringle from SC.
For Ament still in a bidding war with Duke.

DJ is a 50/50 right now to stay or hit the portal.
LOL, considering he has not mentioned visiting Arkansas (UK, Ole Miss, Indiana, and Auburn, then making a decision) I kind of doubt it. Good luck though, LOL. Tell Thiero I said good luck in the draft. Great kid.

I mean, he did mis several at the rim. It was at least 3, including the breakaway.

This sucks, because OO is easily my most liked player in quite some time and I can't wait to see him play again next year, but I'm not going to ignore the fact thst he missed a ton of layups this season.
He definitely made some tough shots when it mattered (see OU games) however there was the occasional tendency to try and throw it through the backboard.

These guys gotta be stupid to go to Indiana. I hate crossing that bridge for almost anything. More than going to Tennessee. Indiana is an ugly, armpit of a state.
I totally agree going to the sweet 16 game in Indianapolis that drive is the most boring drive ever!

what are the effects on NIL/recruiting? I know nothing about it.
The ncaa and some schools want rev share capped and a Nil clearinghouse. So if a player signs a deal before the supposed settlement he/she won’t have to go through the clearinghouse. Some want more NIL oversight. Thats why you see the transfers happening faster.

I love Kentucky hand obviously w at him here but Wilkerson gets as many shots as he wants and is a clear top option and IU. Just my gut feeling, if Wilkerson makes it to campus for the visit we get him.

Most definitely will invest in that INTEL, LOL. It has a guy who has not even entered the portal, but Arkansas is in on him. "Clubhouse leader for Wilkerson", says a post that was dated over 2 weeks ago, but HE recently stated he was taking visit (Arkansas not being one of them). Also using the Old School could have a "Silent Verbal" as intel. Silent verbal's ALWAYS pan out. Sure thing Ace. I will reach out and let the UK staff know they probably need to cancel his visit and stop recruiting him. Maybe help a brother out and tell me who we shouldn't bother reaching out to because Arkansas already has a "SILENT VERBAL" or are "CLUBHOUSE LEADERS" for. I just can't take post serious using the terms club house leader, silent verbal, or leading for guy who isn't even available.

Read this critique from 24sports.com

39. G Lamar Wilkerson

Transferring from: Sam Houston State

The scout: Lamar Wilkerson
is a tried and true sniper with positional size (6-foot-5) who has polished up his game nicely. Wilkerson has an extra year of eligibility thanks to his JUCO days, and numerous big-time high majors are involved. Wilkerson shot over 43% from 3-point range on 226 attempts. He can be used as an off-movement option. He can handle it in pick-and-rolls and create for others in a pinch. He's improved a ton in attacking long closeouts. There are some defensive questions, but Wilkerson's shot-making is so impressive.
This sounds like Mecha Koby Brea on crack cocaine.

Immobilize that target with high-yield money ordinance NOW you grunts!!!

"a ton" is definitely an exaggeration!
Jesus, this board can be stupid sometimes.

You do realize a "ton" is a measurement of weight, right? Yes, of course it’s an exaggeration, it's a saying here in this country. I didn't think I would ever have to explain this to an adult, but here we are.

Seems several people woke up and put their silly "I'm going to look for reasons to argue today" pants on this morning.

Okay, let's put it this way, Otega Oweh missed a "plethora" of layups and chippies during the 2024/25 basketball season.

Christ.

Definitely.

Those Oklahoma games were incredible performances for OO.

I rewatched the duke game yesterday, we win that game by 10 if he just finished his layups.

There is no bigger Oweh fan than me, but we need to be honest, finishing at the rim is one of very few things OO needs to work on.

The Hog fans that come to our board don't do much for the theory that all Ark fans are as dumb as dog s***
For some reason they think they understand Calipari better than we do -- or rather, they are living on hopium and trying to convince themselves the entire Kentucky fanbase is wrong and Calipari is a new man because he heard them call the pigs.

so the schools will be spending money for NIL directly? Is this on top of donor contributions or us it in lieu of donor NIL deals?

His overall make percentage wasn't bad, especially when you consider the degree of difficulty of some of his shots. Both of those shots against OK were crazy tough and we'd mostly think differently about how successful the season was if we'd lost those 2 games.

Oweh shot 61% at the rim this past season, having someone call others stupid because a player that took a lot of shots missed 39% of them is a disingenuous discussion
And there was plenty of contention at the SEC rims. I'd rather focus on some of his explosive jams. But I get it. He was the only guard that could really get to the rim after Butler's injury and we needed him to finish.

Duh!!! Of course I know a ton is a measurement of weight. But in context here is a reference to a "large number".
And to say he was missing "layups and chippies" is also an exaggeration. Oweh was getting hammered at the rim more than anyone else in the SEC. Sears was going to the FT line (in games he wasn't even playing in) because Oweh was getting fouled hard with no calls often. You make it sound like they were uncontested shots. Yes, I know the SEC is extra physical. I also know that UK gets fewer calls than other SEC teams, and that Oweh was getting even less than his teammates (if & when they went to the rim).

Yup, Oweh was the only one getting fouled.

Nice excuse.

If Haggerty goes into the portal as rumored, I would wait for him and back up the Brinks!!!!
Doubt us going for him. We didn’t go for Ian Jackson. I don’t think we are trying to find a top scoring option. We already have that. We are looking for a secondary scorer with elite pure shooting — hence Wilkerson. Just my opinion

I don't we went for Jackson because he seems a done deal to St John's.
