I can tell you my IU friends don’t see it that way. They are pretty concerned at this point.
I’m sure the Indiana folks lurking could answer better than me! But for starters I expect pretty much all the programs with deep pockets/healthy NIL to be pretty good. They also upgraded at coach this offseason.
Tucker DeVries/Reed Bailey/Lamar Wilkerson(or player that takes the money they’re offering Lamar) is a heck of a trio presumably.
The DePaul transfer is an experienced pass first PG but ehh. Sisley is a nice freshman prospect.
I don’t know if there were any holdovers of depth guys. But I’d assume they still have a lot of money to play with and have really probably only spent considerably on their two highly ranked transfers.
If they field a full team. Right now they have what could be a solid 5, but nobody else. I’m sure they will eventually, but the portal top prospects that have entered so far are drying up. Wilkerson is a huge recruit if we steal him from them.

Yeah, I think he does todays visit and some time later on today it gets announced auburn is canceled and they end up choosing between Kentucky and IU early next week

Realistically? Who the hell knows. IU has had very good rosters on paper that failed badly with terrible coaching from Archie and Woodson.
This IU roster isn’t close to being built yet. If Devries can coach em up well then I’m assuming he’ll get enough talent to be at least solid. If he can’t coach em up then it wouldn’t matter much anyway.

Pretty well reported IU has been the leader and UK is trying to gain momentum so Idk why you would think that.
I got to say taking basketball out of it. As a recruit it would be crazy to visit Indiana and Kentucky in one weekend. Don't blame him one bit for making sure he gets courted.
