Yep. There are a few dopes that immediately look at shooting stats and nothing else.
This is a fantastic get …but they don’t see it because the only thing they noticed is that he’s not a shooter.
Sounds like hes a great defender. After last years team I dont know why anybody would hate picking up a good defender.

I think we're scrambling a bit. Staff thought they could take their pick of players, and now realize we just need to get some bodies.
If Lamont goes from a starter to a bench guy because of this so be it. Need to field a team first and foremost.
We have 4 players. Two of them can shoot, two can’t. Relax.

He plays defense but he doesn't pass, he doesn't rebound, he can't shoot at all (59% FT)....it's a guy for sure....but not going to say it's one that moves the needle much
Seems like it might be a reach, BUT I’m a big believer in letting a coach live or die his way. If he likes the kid, so be it, he’s the one that will be accountable for it. You have to defer to the man in charge.

Why are you so angry? Lol, I just don't want the dude to start. I like the pickup, but as a bench player. He has NCAAT experience and is a great defender. But he can't be your starting PG. Just can't. Not in Pope's zoom action offense that predicates all 5 positions being able to hit the 3.

Not a Kentucky fan but commenting that I have watched this guy play a lot the past few years and this is the type of player you can win a championship with. Excellent defender and is as unselfish as it gets. Just wants to win. Can start or come off the bench it doesn’t matter. If he can get to where he can hit wide open 3’s consistently or at least at 35% or so he is a game changer. Dog mentality.

He's gotten worse every year he's been in college. He shot 42% from the field and 57% from the FT line. If he is our 7-8th guy great, but to act excited about a dude like this being a top guy on next year's team is insane.

Likely not a starter, but there's a reason he drew high major interest. He's a defensive specialist and arguably the best perimeter defender in America. Also hit the game winning shot vs FAU in the Final 4. Good leader & winner. There is no downside here. Good add.

I don't think he's a bad player but his outside shooting will limit us if we get Osobor. We wouldn't be able
to play Osobor and Williams together with this guy; you'd have to have 3 knock down shooters to play
along with those 2 to play them together. But on the other hand everybody can use a stud defender and he'd be a great backup point guard if we get Smith.

Pope isn’t running the same offense he ran at BYU. If they can get a better PG, they should but I like the butler addition and don’t think he is coming here to be a bench piece
