Cal has convinced himself that the rotation needs to be 7, so it shall be

The team plays better when either Saar or Jackson are at center but not when both are on the court. Toppin saved us tonight and his mid-range game might be the right fit to support either of the centers. He needs work on rebounding though. So it appears a 3 guard look with Toppin and Saar/Jackson is the best option at present.

IIRC, when Ware was in the game, he missed the weakside help that allowed Vandy to drive straight down the lane uncontested for a layup. Did I see that right and was he benched for it?

Yes and yes. However, it appeared that Ware's man screened him from the drive; which is a problem in itself because he allowed his man to gain inside position on him on the block. If someone had cut off the driver, he could've dished it to Lance's man for the dunk.

Sarr has more talent than you're giving him credit for. He shows flashes of offensive ability, and toughness in the post. If you watch the little things, he's also an incredibly good teammate. Encourages his brothers and picks them up when they're down and frustrated. Reminds me of a Freshman Dakari Johnson
I wish he had Dakari's hands.

I like Ware but on just about every rebound he pushes off, how many times are you going to do that if you know there's a problem. When you are 6 foot 9 you shouldn't have to push off, he's just not ready.
He does seem to push a lot, and it's always so obvious (at least when watching on TV). Maybe he should switch to holding jersey's.

I think we had 5 guys in double figures last night and our PG had 9 points so Ware was not going to get very many minutes.

He's exactly the type player many want, not a OAD, he just needs time to develop. 54, your correct he does show flashes of several abilities, he just needs time and encouragement. IMHO he will excel and be cherished by most fans in the future.

He is a typical Freshman and has no business playing big minutes in the SEC as a Freshman. He has looked lost the last few games.

Love his hustle and he will be a value 4 year player if he doesn’t take the instant gratification route and transfer.

Cal has found his rotation, and statistically there’s no question it’s the right one. The four highest efficiency players on the team are Jackson, Brooks, Sarr, and Toppin. That’s two deep in both forward positions, and Ware and Fletcher are the odd men out.

Is every guy supposed to get 20 minutes a game or something? We are playing our best BB of the year the last 3 games and scoring in the 80s after struggling in the 50s and 60s most of the season. I like the tighter rotation. Some of these guys need to stick with it and they will get their minutes next year if they work hard.
