This Alabama game is on him. OS cannot stop Bama run game and he is throwing screen passes. He stinks as an OC. They are running all over OSU and he runs stupid plays.

This game is on Saban and Kirby Smart. Alabamas offense hasn't been good ... their defense has been atrocious.

And ... #9 for Alabama is the best player in college football. You need to throw to him ... a lot.

Perhaps you missed Bama on defense. They were atrocious. Don't see how this is all on Kiffin.

Yep. Pretty much. Early in the game they were throwing on 3rd and 3 and then the 2 drives before the final drive he wanted to try to sling it around instead of pounding the ground. He cost them this game. Alabama is Alabama for a reason and they didn't play Alabama football today.

If Kiffin had run the ball more Bama could have taken more time off the clock and eliminated some possessions for Ohio State. Bama's defense did not play wee but they were on the field quite a bit. They did hold OSU to three straight three and outs with good field position and Kiffin came out throwing every time and they didn't score squat. Ball game!

Bamas defense was on the field a whole 3 minutes more than their offense, so stop with "they were on the field too long" excuse. You give up over 500 ysrds of total offense and nearly 300 rushing its safe to say thst you aren't playing well. There's enough blame to go around for both sides of the ball.

Alabama's D actually played solid in the 2nd half overall...the problem is on the two drives they did not, they gave up a long bomb TD and that stupid TD run at the end that pretty much ruined their chances. That said, they were awful when it mattered the most in the 2nd quarter. Letting OSU score a TD on that stupid trick TD before the half killed the momentum.

Kiffin did not call a good game. They should have ran it more...Oregon should have watched tonight and learned from Alabama's mistakes I hope. Run run run the ball.

I wasn't saying Bama's defense was on the field an absurd amount of time. My point is Henry averaged 7.3 yards per carry and Yeldon 4.2 ypc and had 23 rushes between them. If Kiffin had run the ball more it would have eaten more time off the clock and probably eliminated a couple of possessions for OSU. That's not debatable based on the success Bama was having running the ball.

When down only 6 in the 4th qtr, Bama's D forced OSU to punt from the back of their endzone....twice!...... and Kiffin could do nothing with the ball......even considering one of the punts covered only 20 yds!

Kiffin is an egomaniac....a kid playing video games with the national championship on the line. Nothing more.

The one big change for Alabama football other than losing at the end of the year is Lane Kiffin. Bama used to have a very rested defense because their running game not only kept that defense off the field getting rest whiles it's offense ground the opponents defense into dust. Kiffin had a big lead and visions of Helfrich dancing in his head.

Can't have a Lane Kiffin thread without a complimentary pic of his wife.

They had 21 early and then went three and out four consecutive trips while OSU got back into the game. That wore out the defense and let OSU up off the mat. Defense played poorly Kiffin called a stupid stupid game.

After the 20 yard punt, Kiffin's hubris took over and he went for the jugular, and Bama promptly threw an interception. If they run the ball there and take care of business Bama wins the game IMO.

Kiffin has no control over a 3rd stringer running loose and converting about every 3rd down...

I would argue, LK is a big reason why Bama was in the conversation this year...look what he did with a first time starter at QB...I mean Sims ended up being one of the top QBs in the league...talent and potential wise may not even be in the same ball park as Coker...he wasn't supposed to win the job...hell he wasn't supposed to still be a QB...

LK fell out of favor in coaching circles and with a lot of fans all over after UT...but hell if he ain't one of the top coordinators in the game and improving his stock by the minute...

He's going to be head coach again some day...at a big boy...and I think he may do very well...he can recruit, he can coach, he can develop...
