Eustachy has been despised by USM fans for the last 3 or 4 years and damn if he doesn't have a real ball team this year. This is by far his best team and now with Dodson, the Kentucky transfer available, he just might make some noise this year in CUSA. I am pleasantly shocked and surprised. Beating Ole Misery has been a challenge and he met it this year finally.

but you should be the opposite of "pleasantly shocked and surprised" about taking the UK transfer back. He got kicked off of Kentucky's team for theft. It's not easy to get kicked off the team at Kentucky. But I'm OK with giving him a second chance after that. But then, after he got to USM he was arrested for and pled guilty to multiple FELONY theft charges. It's a damn shame that guy is allowed to walk the streets, much less play Div. I basketball. The word thug is sometimes used lightly when referring to college athletes, but that guy is a thug.

Pleasantly surprised at how well our team is playing this year, not about the transfer player.

Personal appearance and inner demons aside, Eustachy is a heck of a coach. I'm kind of surprised it has taken him this long to have a decent team. In his situation, he will have to take the borderline cases. But I do think that if the alumni and athletic department would give him a little commitment on recruiting budget and facility upgrades, he could do well. I don't know if that will happen at USM, as all attention seems to be focused on football.
