In that Bracket, the East Region is extremely weak. Villanova has a cake walk to the Final Four.

UK always gets a **** bracket due to "geographical" reasons.

Even when we get a #1 seed, the committee finds a way to make sure our bracket is stacked. I know I'm a little biased, but that's the way it feels each year.

For a team that always gets an easy road, Duke hasn't made it to many FFs lately. Is it only 2 FFs (both title years) since 2002? So the easy road doesn't seem to help them very much.

The problem with pushing Duke down farther is who do you place ahead of them? Of the 5 seeds, for example, only Purdue would be one worthy of moving ahead of Duke. I think Duke's inevitable 4 seed has more to do w/ the teams behind them than it does Duke. Now the "easy" bracket is another story...

I don't see how we can complain if it's UNC 1, UK 2 in the South. UNC is likely the 3rd or 4th 1 seed, UK should be one of the higher 2 seeds. It makes sense geographically, and from a balance perspective.

The West Region usually does appear easier, because it's hard to have a lot of faith in the west coast teams that are supposed to be good, but that's usually only 1 or 2 teams we're talking about. Everyone else is coming from somewhere else, and you don't know what you'll get. You had Wisconsin/Arizona Elite 8's two years in a row in 14 and 15 (and Wisconsin beat UNC in the Sweet 16 that year). I'd hardly call that "opened up".

Gonzaga having lost does open up a possibility that I think the committee would be smart to consider. Give the Pac 12's best the 1 seed, give Gonzaga the 2. I think you'd see far less complaining about how easy the West was if they did that.

I still think the bracket most likely to open up is the one where KU is the one seed. I think they're likely the "best" team, but I also think they're more vulnerable to an upset than other teams... as odd as that sounds.

Thank you . looking at who is playing who is silly. I get it is interesting to see who is seeded where but Joey brackets as no idea where teams will be placed beyond something like it is obvious if UK is a top 2 seed we will play in Indy but that could be for the South or East brackets ect.

I plead guilty I do not know anything about Oregon. But I do know Duke will get the breaks and will be placed in a way to get them to the Final Four. It is their birthright and TV demands it. Oregon is Oregon and that is probably the reason I know nothing about them.

Although I think SMU is talented enough to beat Duke. Dayton is a sleeper team I wouldn't want to face in a 2-7 matchup either in KY's case.
