LCA to Class 2?

The preliminary VHSL alignment has LCA dropping to Class 2 for 2027-9; I’m assuming they’ll petition to stay in Class 3, does anyone know for sure if they will?

It’s bad enough that they’re allowed to compete with public schools, dropping to the second-smallest classification would be another slap in the face

VHSL is not approving playing up, even if they do the Class 3 Region has to agree to accept them.

I would expect them to petition to play Division 3.
The petition must be filed by August 10th. Oppositional appeals must be filed by August 17th. (It does not matter if somebody from that region disagrees - but they can make an appeal to the VHSL to deny them - VHSL will take that into consideration before making a decision.). Final Decisions will be made by August 22nd. I suppose we will find out soon enough.
