To find something to complain about after a 20 point win. Calm down, guys. Winning is a good thing. And stop complaining about Stans. He has done all he can to put this team in a position to win. That's all a coach can do. And we are playing pretty good ball at a pretty good time. Everything is good. Relax.

but I will enjoy the win and hope we get to the tournament. I really thought a win today would clinch it but it looks like we need one more.

8-8 in SEC and 6 seed is the definition of average. If we make the Sweet 16 or better, then I won't care and Stans will get a raise.

Two many injuries with the starting five during that five game period and we just don't have any depth.

OK, I can SOMEWHAT understand some of you lamebrains saying 10-6, since we lost two games in OT. But more realistically, more like 9-7 since one was on the road. Do you honestly think there are 3 more SEC games we should have won?<div>
</div><div>Arkansas killed us in Fayetteville</div><div>Ole Miss killed us in Oxford</div><div>Florida killed us in Gainesville</div><div>Auburn killed us in Auburn</div><div>Kentucky beat us by 10+ at home</div><div>Alabama killed us in Tuscaloosa</div><div>
</div><div>Exactly which of those games SHOULD we have won, in your mind??? You can only really make the argument that we should have won ONE more game.....Georgia at home. That's it.

I don't care how bad Mississippi and Auburn beat us, there's no 17ing excuse for us to lose those games. Or at LSU either for that matter. We win 3 of those 4, which should have been a bare minimum, and we're 11-5 and looking at a real good seed in the NCAA tournament.

so to me, you just can't make that argument. Just my opinion though. I definitely think our team and talent is a little overrated in our fans' eyes.

And what we ARE is a very talented team team that's pretty hot at the right time. We ARE a playing like a top 25 team (today at least). We are 8-8. And we ARE a team (under Stansbury) that has a great success in the SEC baseketball tournament. We AREN'T 10-6 or 12-4. But we don't have to be that. Our guys need to play with a chip on their shoulder. If MSU wins the tourney, u could see us going as high as a 6-7 seed. The committee looks at the entire season. Not just 5 games.

Really...we barely beat a very bad SC team and an average Ark team at home. That's expected.

Especially since we played a very average Arkansas team at home. Win 2-3 game in the tournament, and we are on a hot streak.<div>

State to finish 5th in the SEC. They ended the regular season in 6th. LSU game and GA OT games 'should' have definitely been Ws.

'Second' season starts Thursday. Chance for redemtion.

that started with an OT win against the worst team in a weak conference... validates being hot... that just sounds retarded.

I must be missing the math because the only team I see we're tied with is Ole Miss at (8-8). Are you saying we're tied with either LSU or Alabama? If so... how does that work?

While I understand what y'all are saying about 2 games not actually constituting a "hot" team, I think that there are more than 1 way to define hot. Cant hot mean playing really good, even for a short amount of time? I mean if a team shoots 29% in the first half, their playing badly. But if that same team comes back and shoots 72% in the second half, their (by definition) hot. The term "hot" doesn't necessarily conote a certain amount of time. For example, Ohio State ( a hot team by the other definition of "hot"; #10 in the nation) is getting drummed right now at Michigan State. Therefore, they're playing badly, and not hot.

So I guess my question is: Does the term "hot" necessarily conote a certain amount of time?
Personally, I don't think so.
