I would have been alright missing a FG to lose that game. But to lose like that is horse ****. 17 that guy. I was not a believer anyway but for anyone that was, I hope this opens your eyes.
Anybody defending him as of right now is a moron. We could legit be 2-1 in conference play right now. But we won’t win another game unless he kicks Shapen to the curb.

Did he do a postgame radio interview with learfield tonight? If not that’s strange, it a contract obligation

Agreed. I was very skeptical of Lebby all along, but was willing to reconsider after the Arizona State win, but I'm back to where I was before that game.

I am fine with giving him the rest of the season, but it should be a 100% uncontroversial firing if we're 4-8 (0-8).

Every coach makes dumb decisions. This was on the other 3 shapen throws he missed for TDs and the fumble
Yes but Lebby’s were just on another level of dumb at the end regardless and I liked your thread bc I agree but just had to state or should I say “Mississippi State” the reality of the boneheadedness of the end of that game as we had it in hand. It’s on shapen too just as much he just throws it to the damn lineman like he was our receiver.

Even if the lineman wasn’t there, I have no clue where that ball was going. It was going to be well behind the guy on his route, and possibly picked off by another dude.

That somehow makes it even worse.

We were already 5-10 yards inside Ferrie’s comfortable range. Essentially pissed the game away for nothing.
Yeah. If we had a time out I maybe understand trying to get closer. But with no time outs just kick it. Lebby outsmarted himself. And for a 5th year qb, Shapen had zero awareness of the situation.

We can’t go firing coaches before year 3 all the time. We are light years better than last year. We need a qb and a little bit better OL.
And a HC who has the ability to make better decisions.
