Corso is there for entertainment value and to throw out stuff to get conversation and arguments going. That's been known for some years now.

Guys, it's the preseason and Texas is a school with a huge fan base and lots of money. It's a "cash cow" to predict them doing well in the preseason because it sells ratings, ink, and internet hits.
Texas is perennially "next year's champions" and will remain so until games are actually played. I'll believe the Horn hype when they actually manage to lose fewer than five games in a season--something that hasn't happened since ????

LOVE me some Lee Corso. The guy is hilarious, his picks are nonsensical and I hope he's around for a long time. He's good for at least one belly laugh every Saturday. Lovable idiot.
We are talking about "courage" and my point is that many of us today measure courage at a much lower height than in the past.....and thanks for the history lesson.You can't even compare the two. Besides, ESPN wasn't around in 1944-45.
