Leon Mackey...what happened to him?

Did he play for 2 yrs? I'm looking at his stats from last year @ TT and he had 28 tackles 0 sacks 3 tfls. Compared to a guy who wasn't a stud for us at the same position Sean Ferguson 41 tackles 3 sacks 2.5 TFLs. Was just wondering what happened to Mackey. I thought he was supposed to be a badass?

I know he went to Co-Lin for a year and then signed with Troy, but I can't find him on a roster anywhere.

Straight up thread jack, but i actually was talking about him yesterday. Just looked at my Phil Steele book and they didn't mention him at all. Wow what a waste of talent. I actually thought he was a nice kid. Met him quite a few times too. What was he like 6'1 210-220?

As it turns out, if something looks too good to be true, it usually is. A 4 star Louisiana RB with offers from everybody chooses MSU in a year where we just finished 4-8 and had a coaching change. Yet he ends up at Belhaven. Hmmm.

He had a legit offer to Texas to play LB but were the only BCS AQ who offered at RB. He left because he said he lost what he thought would be a father figure in Croom when he left, and he didn gel with Dan.

Sounds like a wuss to me, if his JUCO stats don't show you that.

Cdub was on him pretty heavy in his 1st yr @ State while Manny was here. And from what i heard he was almost as good as here till his "conversation" with Tubs. Didn't understand it then guess i understand it better after i see his stats at TT.

Looking at Belhaven stats doesn't look like Conner has played this year.
