Always surprises how the SEC, but LSU in particular, just can't develop QB's. For the ridiculous amount of talent at LSU each year, the QBs have been shockingly bad. I guess the best HS QBs would rather play for pro-style or spread offenses rather than run-heavy offenses.

For every Manning that goes from the SEC to the NFL there's a JaMarcus Russell...

I'm not a fan of many SEC QBs at the next level.

I'm very skeptical. As football mad as some of these schools may be 15M buyout and 2M for assistant coaches is a ton of money.

Mr. Miles, have you seen the nobody who we last hired and allowed to coach for not one, not two, not three, but 4 and potentially 5 years?

Did you notice our previous coach was here for a decade with moderate results and no threat ever of removal, left us, and is still mostly well thought of?

You'd be good until your retirement here and your seat cold would be cold as fuq the entire time.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sure, but when one of their 'shockingly bad' QBs transfers to Rutgers, he's expected to be a program-savior.

Didn't Rettig come from LSU? I think that LSU recruits good enough QBs. The problem is that they don't develop in their system. Which is a shame, because their WRs are usually very good.

Les is never coming here.
I don't think many think he is, I'm just curious to see if they will let go someone with 15M left on his contract and 2M for assistants. I'm skeptical we'll see. You theoretically could have 2 guys with the success of Richt and Miles out on the market. Neither one may take another job for next year even if they are let go.

Miles being on the hot seat puts expectations into perspective. People are talking about a coach who's won one National Championship and competed for another being fired. Who do you bring in if you fire him?

If Miles is fired (which I doubt), would Texas then make a run at him and fire Strong? Miles seems like someone Texas would want, a proven winner.

The buyout is $15mm until jan 1 then goes down to 12.9 mm. That they are even considering letting him go with that kind of figure tells you how uneven the playing field is college athletics.

Jimbo Fisher is going to be their top choice to replace him.
I heard that rumor this morning. Now that would be something. He was the OC there under Saban. Just the amount of money to get it done. 15M for Miles 2M for his assistants, whatever buyout Fisher might have and then Fisher's salary. You just wonder how deep are the pockets of boosters at some of these schools. Whew.

LOL. His seat isn't even warm.

He has a 15 million dollar buy out. Those boys in the bayou aren't real smart, but they certainly are not dumb!

Les isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It's all just ******** talk.

Looks like they're not smart AND dumb. Probably have "more money than sense."

He's gone...basically said good-bye at his latest alumni meeting. Raw deal, but it just goes to show you how much winning National Championships is the only thing that matters at schools like LSU. Miles has a 77% winning percentage, and has won one NC
