I don't understand how curry can be in the same conversation with miles. curry was at bama only three years and won 10 games his last, and best year. before that he had a losing record at ga tech.
Curry's coaching record is nowhere close to miles. miles apart. i know.
My thoughts exactly. I enjoy Les Miles as a character and his running out of the tunnel onto the field in the wrong direction will stay in my mind forever. I fell off my chair laughing. But Bama and LSU fans do know football. Just keep one thing in mind. The rest of college basketball was snowed by Tubby Smith. Lots of schools wanted him. Minnesota, Texas Tech and now Memphis. But as UK fans we knew the man had serious coaching deficiencies. Les Miles is much like Tubby Smith. He reached his ceiling and started down the other side of the hill. LSU has known this for a few years now.
If you wouldn't take Les Miles at Kentucky then please ban yourself from the board forever.
Yet let's go after Jeff Brohm who basically cares nothing about defense and would rather win 55-50.
And the argument Les Miles couldn't win at LSU so how would he win here is the lamest attempt by a UK fan ever.
He won a titles, a runner up, 3 SEC titles and 10 games per year. Miles downfall was the greatest coach in the history of college football joined the division. No one has been able to consistently beat him in the conference or the country.

I say we hire an entire former SEC Head Coach staff. All these guys should be available in a couple of months. Les Miles as our HBC, Gary Pinkel as our OC, Kiffin for WR, Derek Dooley for TEs; Sylvester Croom for RBs and Guy Morris for the OL; Derek Mason can be our DC, Ogeron for the OL, Phil Fulmer for LBs. and Rich Brooks for the DBs. Maybe this will be enough to finally get us over the hump in football!
Yeah, but Les has something Curry didn't have, guts!! I would be all for him if he could bring his top rated DC's with him and keep Gran.

Bill Curry went 7-5, 9-3, and 10-2 at Bama and they ran him out on a rail. He was an epic fail at UK. The Bama's and LSU's of the world live, eat and die by football. They know good coaching when they see it and are running him off for a reason that will never translate to success at UK. Miles is in the twilight of his career and would never do the work needed to make UK competitive in the SEC. He may be a decent coach but he is not the right coach for UK IMO.
