I'm a little surprised that Lunardi has us as a "First Four Out" in this week's update. Two wins this week could have us in, which is a long way from the "we won't make the NIT" argument 2 weeks ago. I know there's a long way to go but it's nice to at least be in the discussion.

- Our RPI is 113 on realtimerpi.com
- We have no quality wins
- We have one bad loss

Yeah, we shouldn't even be in Lunardi's area code.

Wow, there is a good chance that we will only have 2 shots at a quality win all year: at TN and Florida at home.

I agree. The other thing I noticed is, if we happen to make the tournament, we'll be at least 10 hours away from home for the opening rounds. It looks like either KC or Greensboro are the closest host sites.

Perhaps we have actually gotten to where our program garners respect nationally even though most think no one outside of our fans care about our division titles? Although, that shouldn't really go into something like this.

I'm surprised to not see Washington State. That's the only loss we've had this year where I thought we just weren't the better team (I didn't see the TT game).

is clearly better than ours AND they beat us so that's weird. Its almost like Lunardi didn't want to deal with having to study anything this early in the game.

A bracket projection at this point in the season is a little silly. Of course, the other part of me says that he gets paid to do this one thing, and if I were ESPN, I wouldn't want him just starting it up in mid-February and being done a month later.
