Let's assume we make a change on our staff this year...

what's the one assistant coach you would be disappointed in being let go or leaving?

Collins. I think with a healthy secondary, Chris jones a year in conditioning, and our young lb's that we could really have a nice defense next season

I agree with Collins. We need some stability on the defensive side of the ball.

Deshea. I don't care if he's worth his weight in peanuts... any time you can have a guy who won multiple Super Bowls as a starter and was being taught the art of coaching in the NFL ranks before coming to campus you try to keep him. He'll come around eventually if he hasn't already. That would be the biggest thing to me if I was a high school recruit, my position coach knows firsthand how to go to the top.

Good points. Would also think he could relate to MS kids easily being that he is from here. And if it ever meant getting our foot in the door with USP kids and disrupting OM's pipeline than even better.

Speaking of, is there I haven't noticed any big time recruits from usp this year. It would be right that the best chance we have for getting an elite recruit from them that there wouldn't be any.

All the same to me. USP kids seem to have the lowest chance of success in Mississippi. I don't know if it's the hype or what, but I'd rather land a high profile guy from anywhere else. Might sound like sour grapes but those guys rarely live up to the their high school glory.
