...I am making the point that this board is always *****-slapping Mullen over recruiting, but the fact is Mullen already has 18 verbal commitments. I realize this board thinks they all suck because they weren't all offered by Alabama & LSU, but 18 commitments in October is not bad for a school that has no compelling selling points to offer a top tier HS football player.
Like you say, some of those 18 will be lost, just like every school in the nation will lose verbals between now & signing day.
And if the final tally is that around 40% of the 25 signed are nationally ranked @ their position, then Mullen will have done a solid job of recruiting @ a school that has very little to offer a recruit by way of an enticing football legacy.
