I expect a great game. In the end I’m picking Phoebus defense over anybody. Not much to discuss because Phoebus purposely didn’t put much on tape offensive wise in the scrimmage.
Y’all know I’m all 804, but I’m rooting for C4 in this one. Highland Springs has the talent to beat anyone but who steps up? The Magician is long gone.
Two relatively identical teams. Both have a future division one dual-threat quarterback. Both have fantastic running backs. Both have massive offensive lines. Both have wide receivers that can take it the distance on any play. Both teams are fast as lightning on defense with excellent secondaries. Both teams have a great linebacking corp. both teams have strong, big defensive lines that defend the run well and get after the quarterback. I don’t know much about Phoebus kicking game, but I know the Highland Springs punter and kicker is fantastic. Highland Springs does have a game under their belt against a playoff team from last year. The Phoebus quarterback has been in the big game before. This will be,by far,the toughest opponent The Highland Springs quarterback has faced. This game very well could come down to who makes the fewest mistakes and penalties. Who can control their emotions?
Solid kicking game but i rather it not come down to a FG!! Either way too close to call.
Good luck to both teams tonight and i pray we have a clean and injury free game. Let’s get this work in to prepare for our individual state title runs! It’s not about September with either one of these programs.
Varina exposed a lot last year for me. A team that punches the in the mouth are normally successful at competing with them.
Obviously looking at the score they didn't manage much, but how did the springers pass game look? I figured that would be a weak point for them this year
Nonexistent. They had one big pass play then threw a pick next play.
