Great Video

The Timmy Bowers come from behind win to go 14-2 in Tuscaloosa is up there on my "favorite MSU sport events I've attended" list.

Several chills, several times and throughout. Great video- the best I’ve ever seen that I can remember for men’s basketball.

My two all time favorite players to wear the maroon and white were Daryl Wilson and Winsome Frazier. Bar none. Hands down.

great Video, the Timmy Bowers winning shot at Bama ranks up there with one of the best games i ever watched. I think we were down like 30 points at the half and came roaring back. Remember watching it from a Bar in Starkville (Polliwags I believe). What a game....

There was a video someone put out about that whole season, Timmy Bowers, Lawrence Roberts, Winsome Frazier, etc.... it was set to the song "hope you dance" i think. Awesome recap to that whole season...

That game was awesome. But, my goodness, is there ever a better representation of Stansbury coaching than that last bucket Timmy made...

Wonderful memories. Great legacy.....

Before the dark times...before ray and loafers....

Also, listening to 'Dream on' I wish we would do that for the 4th quarter instead of Don't stop believing. Much better tune, lyrics are kinda so so.

Just continue with what we are doing....no need to change. I am sure 50 people would vote on 50 different songs, so leave it alone.

In case anyone hasn't heard, we have a new grad assistant this year: (his name is Derrick Zimmerman)

i didn't know this, but I'm ecstatic. When Bowers and Z were on the same team, there wasn't a more athletic pair of guards in the country.

Well done.

Too bad he wasn't here that year we had to practice against coaches...

When Zimmerman stepped on the court he became another person. Him and Dee Bost played with that same swagger. Seemed like their games were ratcheted up a few notches everytime they saw Ole Miss or Kentucky on the other teams jerseys

[h=2]Nostalgia was the old days ( late 70) before computers registering for classes in McCarthy gym. Waiting in line to find out the class you needed was filled.[/h]

They were the perfect guards for the bottom of the 1-3-1, running sideline to sideline and swatting 3's in the corners.

When the other team had runouts, Z and Bowers would chase from behind, all the while timing their steps to swat what should've been an uncontested layup on the other end. Loved watching that.

I was at the Superdome when we beat Kentucky... I remember boxes of SEC Tournament Champions-Kentucky Wildcats shirts outside the Dome after the game...

The full clip is pretty funny, Jones goes running like a cheetah to get the ball out of the stands.

It will be nice to see a packed, crazy Hump and it's not the women's team. Extra special if both the men's & women's teams can fill the Hump again.

The thing about it is, all we have to do is do it. Show up, raise hell, have a hell of a time, and be the 6th man to help our teams win. That is a recipe for success all around.

Does anybody remember that inbound play we used to run from the baseline? Inbounder would pass the ball in, take one step over the line, get the ball back, and hit a three from the corner. It was almost not fair how well that worked.
