Let's go Bears!

[LafayetteBear]

Looking forward to tonight's game. It presents an opportunity for my Sturdy Golden Bears. My guess is that they will lose, but the Tigers have shown lately that they are eminently capable of a faceplant, and they're on the road. We'll see. The Tigers need to put some consistent pressure on Sagapolutele or he will throw for a whole bunch of yards.

Wonder how many Clemson fans will be in the stands. The weather here today is perfect for a football game.

We usually travel very well, but all the way across the country and on a Friday night ….. I think Clemson fans may be sparse.

Our defense is highly suspect. A good QB could tear us apart. We are a young team with a little momentum. But a 10:30 start after long travel I’ll be surprised if we aren’t a little sluggish out of the gates.

Wish I could have made the game

The Tigers got into town on Wednesday, and have been staying in the East Bay suburb of Walnut Creek. Only 25 minutes from the Stadium. It's 71 degrees here in Lafayette as I post this. Probably a couple of degrees cooler in Berkeley, and it will cool further after the sun goes down. TV should have some nice shots of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge from the west rim of the stadium. Look for a smattering of fans up in the hills just east and above the Stadium. They call it Tightwad Hill. Good views into the Stadium from there, for free. Cal has a cannon on a platform built up there, which they fire off each time the Bears score. Hopefully, a lot of cannon fire tonight! If you guys have a decent OL and a good running back, he will be piling up some yardage.

Well, I have several Cal fraternity brothers who have now discovered that I post here. They are laughing about that. T-minus 12 minutes to kickoff.

Fans are also about as apathetic as I’ve seen right now. Dabo has sucked the life out of us. I don’t know anyone going over there. And I went to LSU…

Clemson qb needs to learn how to carry the football. Dumba$$

Tigers got the win. Entertaining game. Seemed like a great atmosphere.

Sorry Bear!

Classic Cal game. They are really good at doing just enough to lose. The offsides and personal foul penalties on that Clemson TD drive were horrendous. That punt that was returned for a TD was an absolute line drive. That punter has to get more air under his punts or he should be benched. And the OL and DL (a bit less physical and athletic to begin with) tend to wear down in the second half.

The Tigers need to string a few more wins together. Hope they don't have to play Miami. The Canes look really tough.

Edit: Oh shiat. I see that it is Miami next week. Well, good luck. You never know for sure in college football.
