It's not helping MSU, the issue is very irrational and not given to good prediction. As article pointed out today, even the wants you want don't end up being what you thought they were in a lot of cases.

Although I believe he's cited early playing time as a plus for Ole Miss. He says we have the edge right now, but given our history with recruits that are indecisive and make a late decision, I wouldn't give it any better than 50/50.

If a recruit gets pissed off because Joe Blow Nobody named Goat Holder on a message board predicted he will go somewhere that he doesn't, then he's as big of a ***** as you.

You are right. I'm hoping that Dan will meet with the boys very early in the visit and lay it on the line. Anybody not wanting to commit should be told thanks but no thanks and sent home. God bless all of them but we don't need to waste coaches' time and efforts on the ones that are unwilling to play for the best team in the state.

I have seen multiple rebel and lsu posters on tigerdroppings and NAFOOM saying it is a LSU/Ole Miss battle for Johnson. Have any State Fans heard the same thing from reliable sources, he would definitely be the most devastating loss to our recruiting class. Hopefully we can get him back in the fold this weekend.

We are very much in the running for CJ. That being said, if he doesn't re-commit this weekend, I'd say he's thinking hard about going elsewhere...

uscreb was saying on Nafoom the other day that he heard CJ Johnson was going to go down to LSU and another out of state school. I don't know that I see that, but he has had a decent track record with the crootin info, even though he's all the way out in California. Don't know where he gets his info, but he's had some good info the last 3 years.

He also hears Whitehead to Ole Miss, so we'll see on those.

As a response to Goat's first post, I don't think Price has a spot at Ole Miss. I'd say he's ULL bound.

ETA: I've seen a lot of this Morris switching rumor running around. I assume that mean's Robertson is pushing that as his latest rumor. That will be interesting to watch. I like my big uglies more than just about anything when it comes to recruiting, so I hope we can hold onto him.

And let me again take this opportunity to point out how *!#!#!! stupid we are to have two SEC schools in state. Imagine if all those kids in addition to others both State and Ole Miss have committed were going to the same school.

The Morrow to Arkansas talk is way overblown. He will sign with State. The same goes for Morris. I have no clue why everyone thinks he is going sign with us.

CJ is coming back to where his heart is. Arkansas has too much depth at WR to get Morrow. Whitehead and Morris are very similar cases so we could end up switching out these guys. Tobias has burnt his bridges I believe. Brassell could choose us or Ole Miss and I wouldn't be surprised. Bama would shock me. Not enough remaining spots for Price at the other school so he will probably end up with Hud. PJ Jones will likely commit this weekend because our D-line spots our very limited.

I will **** my britches if CJ ends up at Ole Miss. Just don't see that happening. I am however, very concerned about LSU and Bama. I think BAma is quitely making a push with the Calloway de-committ, and Tuscaloosa not being too much farther from home than Starkville. In the end I think we get him, but I'm worried.

Right this second, I agree with you expect for Whitehead, Morris, and Price.My feeling is that Whitehead sticks with MSU & Morris sticks with OM. Price will sign with ULL. The only way he comes to OM is to walkon.

Obviously, fromthe chatter I hear, one of the MSU beat writers keeps bringing up Morris. Which is it, if I may ask?

Well you seem to be in the camp that thinks Morris will leave us, so you are hearing that somewhere...maybe hearing it hear.

Either way, its obvious that one of the writers has claimed OM will lose Morris because I can't find it reported anywhere.

I'm just curious if anyone will say which esteemed recruiting writer went out on that limb.

I would imagine that it would be Holmes CC- which is in Madison's territory. Unless they didn't protect him, which I would be shocked if they didn't.

If I were him, I would tell Holmes to not protect me, and then go to Hinds.

Ed Sullivan would've loved that... Wonerful, Wonerful.

I couldn't help but notice that in the article about Mr. Monds, he was listed as a linebacker and 6' and 196, but Rivals has him at DE, 6'3", and a beefy 212. I wish our basketball program would get on that strength & conditioning program.
