What a disappointment. Hard to believe that the loss of a single player could turn a team to garbage like this.
It is hard to believe. Because it isn't true.
Ever since the Pikiell contract extension we've been an utter disgrace.

We will win one or two more games tops and we will be lucky to get an NIT bid.

I'm in mourning
Don't you coach youth sports? Do you bring this attitude to the children's rec league?

I don't see us as a favorite in any game remaining except on road at Minnesota. And because it's on road, we will only be slight favorite.
We will be favored, at a minumum, against Michigan, Minnesota, and Northwestern. We will be an 8-9 point favorite at Minnesota at least, likely ~4-5 against Michigan and ~3-4 against Northwestern (obviously assumes lines are being made today, can change depending on performances)

Additionally, Wisconsin will be a pk or maybe a 1 point dog, Penn St will be a 1-3 pt dog.

I would have hoped with the losses we just had that we would some fans like the OP who does nothing but spew nonsense on this board

You and 2004 should find a new school to root for

His title is too dramatic, but the possibility is not nonsense. Anyone who thinks it inconceivable we might only get 1 or 2 more wins rest of way needs to open their eyes. Nebraska just pounded our butts on our home floor. No bright spot other than Hyatt.

When my kids played sports, I remember one of the coaches had a 24 hour rule if we lost a game. You couldn’t contact him for 24 hours so you could have a clear mind. Then after 24 hours, you could rant at him asking why we were losing and why little Johnny didn’t get more playing time. This board needs a 48 hour rule cool off period. And come back with a more sound mind if that’s possible. 😎

The seesaw of this fan base is wild. Stuff happens, good and bad, and then more things happen after that good and bad.

I am assuming you have a practice report from the week and saw how the kids responded? How their meetings went? Have good conversations with the captains?
Seriously this fan base
We are either a top 10 team that the pollsters are overlooking or in a free fall - no in between

I would be shocked if we didn’t right the ship enough to make the tournament convincingly

36 hours is good.

Forgot the poster, but whoever asked me if our D was good enough to win at Indiana and at Illinois…..

Looked at the raw data and he or she was right. Our D was awful vs Nebraska, but the adjusted D scores from Indiana and Illinois combined were Top 25.

Tough not to be emotional and take 1 game and have doubts.

Why? Who is going to step up? Where will the now lost elite D come from?

Seems like the idea here is "where there is a will, there is a way." Maybe. But the more logical conclusion is the talent just isn't there this year for a stetch run. Remember, Cam supposed to be our closer. He hasn't even played in late minutes recently. Announcers keep mentioning it.

Seems like you would be happier when we were a dumpster fire program since you seem to enjoy spewing negativity. Or were you even a fan then?

Rutgers basketball has had a relatively successful season this year, with a current record of 12-10. However, their upcoming game against the Wisconsin Badgers will likely result in a loss for the Scarlet Knights. There are several reasons why Rutgers will struggle against Wisconsin and ultimately come up short.

Firstly, Wisconsin has a stronger overall record than Rutgers, currently standing at 18-8. They have also been performing well in recent games, winning six of their last seven matchups. This indicates that they are playing with a lot of momentum and confidence, which will make them a difficult team to beat.

In addition, Wisconsin has a strong defense that will pose a challenge for Rutgers' offense. They are currently ranked second in the Big Ten Conference for scoring defense, allowing an average of just 61.4 points per game. This means that Rutgers will have to work hard to find scoring opportunities and will likely struggle to score at their usual pace.

Another factor that works against Rutgers is their poor performance on the road. The Scarlet Knights have a record of 3-7 in away games this season, indicating that they have difficulty playing in unfamiliar environments. They will be playing in the Kohl Center in Wisconsin, which is a notoriously difficult venue for opposing teams to play in. The home-court advantage will likely play a significant role in the outcome of the game.

Finally, Rutgers has struggled with consistency this season, with several losses to lower-ranked teams. This lack of consistency and inability to win against lower-ranked teams suggests that they may struggle against a strong team like Wisconsin.

In conclusion, Rutgers will likely lose to Wisconsin in their upcoming basketball game. Wisconsin has a stronger overall record, a strong defense, and the home-court advantage. Rutgers' struggles on the road and lack of consistency also work against them. While Rutgers has had a successful season so far, they will have to bring their A-game if they hope to come away with a victory against the Badgers.

Of course it's possible we only win 1 or 2 games the rest of the season. Your problem is acting like it's a mortal lock and there is zero hope for anything better

That's an emotional response, not a rational one
