They'll go after some big fish but won't reel them in. Freeze and Hudspeth both would readily take the job for a reasonable salary and will be able to recruit well in Mississippi and the surrounding areas.

fits the mold. Part of the old regime crowd, will promise to run Oklahoma State's offense, and will cheat like hell. Perfect for the Ole Miss job. If not it will be Freeze , Kent Austin, or some other leftover.

I'm going with Larry Fedora from USM to take it in a different direction. Although I think they'll end up with someone like Freeze or Hudspeth.

However, they're going to be competing with schools like Arizona, Penn State (likely), UK (maybe) and possibly Kansas. Three of those four are probably in the same range of second-tier jobs as OM. What I don't get is the AD transition. I'm not sure a lot of coaches with good D-I experience are going to want to take a job at a school where the new AD is an unknown at a school with irrational fans and a track record of firing 3 coaches in 7 years. If you're the head coach, you'd like to know who the AD is and whether he has your back if things get rocky.

...Not that I'd think he'd be interested but LSU's DC wouldn't be a bad person to consider.</p>
