The only team they've beaten who is currently ranked is Michigan. The combined record of their SEC opponents is 3-12. Their buy-games (WKU, FAU) are 1-2 against our buy-games (Troy, USA, MTSU).

Here's the scary thing. When they play SEC - they beat them worse than their OOC teams. It's when they know they have to step it up - that's when it's obvious how much better they are than the other team.

But we are 7-0 and they are 7-0. I just enjoy having the chance.

We have both played UT. </SPAN>
MO was the equivalent of us playing UK.</SPAN>
TSUN was our Auburn,.</SPAN>
Florida Atlantic was our South Alabama.</SPAN>
Arkansas was our Troy.</SPAN>
Western Kentucky was our MTSU.</SPAN>

That leaves them having played Michigan where we played JSU as the big discrepancy in the schedule.</SPAN>

Kind of strange both teams led TN by 13 at the half. The difference is State

takes a siesta against teams when it gets the lead, and Bama keeps the boot on the neck of the opponent.

Great point. State doesnt give up the kickoff return and hits a field goal its 44-24 and looks like a route.

Does State and Bama have the same quality of dept, too?

or is the only difference we don't finish people off. I am under the impression that MSU is not at the same tier as the Alabama's of the world, but I guess you consider our program established and our depth championship quality.

It is pretty simple and well documented. Mullen don't give two ***** about blowing people out, he cares more about having people ready and experienced to step in if and when he needs them. At alabama, you are playing aj mccarron up 35 in 4th qt ...I think it is safe to say they have quiet a different philosophy or your 2nd string still gives you the ability to beat up on quality teams.

My point is, State has yet to play to their full potential. I think Saban has

instilled a work ethic in his players and gets 4 full quarters out of them even against sucky opponents. Bama just doesn't let up. The only game they might have was against Ole Miss. I think it finally hit Mullen last Saturday when it comes to his team sleep-walking. When he said, "this is 17ing awful" on the sideline, I think it was a turning point, and State came out and smoked MTSU in the 2nd half. I feel like he gets his team to play 60 minutes Saturday.

my biggest concern is the absolute beat downs they have provided while taking their foot off of the gas in every game. They could have put up a ton more points on Michigan, Florida Atlantic, UM, and Mizzou.

Bama has scored 90 and 94 points in the first 2 quarters, only 34 points in the third quarter (when Saban really lets up), and 69 in the last quarter (probably more here because of the other teams being tired and some of Bama's backups trying to make names for themselves).

We don't know how many points they could put up if Saban decided to unleash them for 60 minutes.

Bama will lose this weekend so it doesn't matter much anyway.

/I Believe.

We really don't know how many points they can put up in a game where they are truly tested.

I dunno, I've seen Bama be sluggish a good bit... slow starts.... taking the foot off the gas late...

If Saban were a rat bastard like Spurrier, we could have scored 350-375 points already this season...

UT's last offensive TD

Was when Chris decided to play prevent and they marched down the field and got an easy TD. I wanted to strangle Chris for that crap. Fortunately, we had a five minute drive and drove the dagger in with Malcolm's TD.

This: "your 2nd string still gives you the ability to beat up on quality teams."

our 2nd team has had a lot of snaps and the 3rd/4th teamers have seen game action, as well.

And the idea that we have AJ in the game in the 4th to RUTS is inaccurate.... hell, he doesn't even throw the ball much in the whole 2nd half of games...
