Ok Duke football fans. UVA tomorrow. We're going to win. My score Duke 31 UVA 20. Bronco is a very good coach but he's a few seasons away just like it took Coach Cut. OFC
I wish we would stop with the quick throws. The defense has been all over them and Jones has been pretty good going down field.
Jones is looking good overall. He has just made some poor decisions that have ended promising drives. Defense is holding strong though.
It's almost as if Jones doesn't take in regard to who's open or not when he's throwing. If the play says throw to rahming it's going to rahming whether he's open or not. He's been awful 3 interceptions in one half erases his good plays
4 pics in a half. Winnable game too. Jones is just a frosh but he's stinkin' it up today. No Jela so more emphasis on passing. Not working. Secondary gettin' shredded too.
I think not being able to get to their QB when we have him in trouble has hurt us too. OFC

Too many turnovers in the first half combined with not taking advantage of excellent opportunities = bad day.
He's 19 years old. I think he will end up being a good quarterback for Duke. Remember, Sirk being out is the only reason heis in there.
Yeah I know but that was his time to step up and win us this game. After that drive came up with nothing our team morale was completely destroyed

I definitely feel like we gave this one away. Credit to Virginia for making plays. But dammit.
That was just awful. Back to bad football. The injuries have done a number to us this year but other teams have them to. Looks like ND was a fluke, their D can't stop a cold, gave us a break.

Boehme was insulted not seeing the field today....Thats not so much an indictment of Jones poor play as Cut leaving him in game and his confidence eroding!! Our best teams under Cut have always utilized at least a litle bit of a dual quarterback system!

And given Jones youth and inconsistency, Cut's STUBBORNESS is hurting the offense on days like Wake/NW/UVA....This team even beat up should be 5-0...

I agree this season we should have a 2 qb system since jones is so young but all of those seasons hurt our qb development. When renfree was here he missed out on developing red zone throws because of boone. Boone then missed out on developing there because of sirk and Connette. Boehme never really was in for sirk.
Boehme played in some short yardage situations, and started in Sirk's place in Pitt game. Also in Charlottesville last yr against the CAVALIERS ironically Parker led us back from 3 tds down in 4th qtr to nearly win the game...He's now a forgotten man...

Good point I agree about one qb's development can stall because of the dual system. However we did play in bowl games under said system....I think the bowl chances are down the drain now...
