If all wanted to come to NU I think you got to take all three. Getting all three though might be on par with winning the lottery though.
Have to agree with this. Some kids fall into that, "We'll find a way to make it work" category.
This is another moment when we should all just step back and appreciate that we're having conversations about which highly-rated kids we think we can fit into the class.
Everything that I've read on numbers for this class predict 4-5 WR. So, all three would make 5. So, I'm not sure why the confusion at this point. If another offered WR decided to pull the trigger ahead of those 3, then there might be a decision to make.
Correct. There is room for all three. We would go as high as six WRs if the right people wanted on board.
You take all three and then hope one of them becomes a consensus all American at defensive end.
How is this any different then when Pelini was giving the lottery and had Heard, Green, Turner, etc... and he didn't get them all on the field. Was totally pisssed at that. I would have freaking had all that speed on the field at the same time. I sure don't miss the Bo dog house. A-hole.
Umm...because Heard and Green were running backs who were being out performed by some kid out of Alabama. And generally there is only one RB on the field at a time which isn't the case at the WR position. And Turner was a QB turned WR who had more injuries than a hospital ward. I suppose we could have taken some linemen out and blocked people with all that speed.

Ameer Abdullah was the cream of that crop, and he is now the one with all the money.
Aaron Green probably could've been handled a little better with more sensitivity, but he wanted to be the man. Dude had too much "I" in team.
And Braylon Heard was not a good college running back. Bo was actually correct in attempting to play that kid on defense.
Just curious how you figure that? If I'm counting correctly, we'll have seven scholarship receivers returning in 2018 (and only one of those guys will be a senior) which would make for twelve or thirteen total if we sign the class you're talking about. Maybe you're accounting for some attrition?
If a five-star wants to commit to your school then make room. It's as simple as that, but we're going to be chock full of receivers going forward and have major questions at other positions that would presumably have a lower scholarship budget due to over-signing at the WR group.
Coach Williams is absolutely killing it in recruiting. I wish we were in on the same caliber (and quantity) of defensive/offensive line recruits.
The figure is four. We have scheduled to take four WRs this cycle but we will certainly take a fifth if he is the right guy.
That's what I mean and if it comes to six someone at another position will get squeezed.

Well Offensive line was probably the best position group we recruited in last year's class. To be Decided on DL JP has made up some ground but is behind the 8 ball trying to build relationships with kids in the 2017 class.
I think by this time next year we will start to really see JP recruiting on another level.

Thoughts:
Jamire Calvin: I think this guy is a lock. He's easily the weakest of the three, but he's still a great prospect.
Darnay Holmes: Remember that this guy can play DB and is listed as such in his recruitment on 247 Sports. I think he's the most likely of the two 5 stars to pull the trigger for N, but with a guy like this you just never know what they're going to do. I give this 50/50 odds, which is not bad considering the caliber of recruit this guy is.
Tyjon Lindsey: Apparently is just a freak of nature at receiver (have you seen photos of him in action?? Look at his freakin' legs!!) and I don't care who else we sign, if he wants to come here, you make room for a guy like this. I would say he's less likely than the others to come here, given his being courted super hard by Alan Thicke I mean Urban Meyer. I would give this one a 30-40% chance, though. We would just have to beat out tOSU, which is...let's say "difficult."
As for the rest of the recruiting, I don't think we need much in the way of DB's or LB's. Last year's LB class, plus Avery Roberts, means we're going to have really athletic guys for days. Same with our DB's, particularly if Holmes chooses us and winds up playing DB. I completely agree that we should be looking for as many elite D-linemen as possible; last year, we had a pretty darn good OL class, and sure, don't turn any good Tackles away, but holy jeebus do we need DT's and DE's. It's BAD.
