Don't know about restaurants but go if you possibly can...one of nicest venues I've been to..plus it is usually last weekend of horse racing at Keeneland there in Lexington...go to races(not encouraging betting, but watching those caliber horses run is fantastic) on Friday..

Keeneland is cool, think they filmed Secretariat there, and pretty cheap to enjoy even if you don't gamble. It's a blue-collar Derby atmosphere with some fine women too. Malone's in the Hamburg 'hood was very good, look past all the Calipari ads. Saul Good pub and grille was nice too, Old Chicago is good if you like the craft brews you can't find in MS. Very few places that aren't well-kept and clean. Really enjoyed visiting there minus the Big Blue hoop fans. Lex's KY Ale is a beer I wish were more popular down south, the Bourbon Barrel will put you on your *** tho.

If you have a big appetite you can attempt the Hugh Jass Burgers challenge. It is a sports bar within walking distance of the stadium. Big burger and fries you have about 25 minutes to eat. They actually start a shot clock on it. Someone attempted it when I was there. Good food for a sports bar.

KY. Butt Rubbin BBQ

Any famous ones to go to while going to the game?

There used to be this place in Lexington south of the campus called Kentucky Butt Rubbin BBQ, aka KY Butt Rubbin. Seriously. We ate there in 2011 on my son's recruiting trip for the swim team. It was some of the best baby back ribs I have ever had. However, upon googling the restaurant just now, it appears they may have gone out of business about 6 months ago.
