I have been to 2 of the 4 Liberty Bowls that Mississippi State has played in since 1991, and I froze my baguettes off at both...
When is it not terrible weather for the Liberty bowl?
What’s funny is that the weather has been beautiful all week. Liberty Bowl gameday….cold rain.

It might have been chilly, but started in daylight. We had a great time.
One of the few games I ever tailgated for. We had fun on Tiger Lane.
The Kangs first year. Played Air Force. It was VERY cold. 1990 or there abouts.
Can’t get much more miserable than that. Snow Bowl was maybe colder, but we had snow & an entertaining game that we won. Trying to drive back to Madison was an adventure. I made it as far as Monroe at about 3AM. Saw a lot of cars that slid off the interstate on the way. Got up next morning & the free breakfast area was a sea of maroon.
It was nice the last time we played there vs TTech. 72 degrees and partly cloudy. Most fans were wearing shorts. Rarely happens, but it was the best weather I ever attended a Liberty Bowl. Game was lousy though.....and I figured Leach wanted revenge for TTech not paying him.
