Honduras has nearly 11M people, not 8.2M. They greatly reduced their homicide rate (which isn't the highest in the world), through better enforcement of the law (including firearms regs), via better trained officers. A large portion of their violent crime problem is illegal guns, trafficked from the US. Maybe they should start bombing US ships to attempt to force us to stop fueling their problems?
Oh, and firearm ownership is quite legal in Honduras. Prior to 1985 (you know, when it was under military rule), it wasn't regulated at all. When it transformed into a democracy, it started to regulate firearms, as all democracies do ... but they were still quite legal.

Switzerland, in contrast, has about 9M people now. Was your meme taken from the heydey of facebook fake memery, by any chance? It doesn't have the lowest homicide rate in the world, although it is low - one of the lowest in the world. It does NOT require citizens to own guns. It has a robust and strict firearms regulatory structure. Switzerland requires military service for men, and requires them to have their firearm at home during that time, but there are strict regulations around storage/use, and these guns are government-owned. Most firearms require a permit to possess, and open carry isn't generally allowed, with exceptions for "necessary" use (like being an armed security guard), and a privilege granted only after passing special testing and background checks.

Again, guns are heavily regulated in Switzerland, and only members of the military are required to have a gun (subject to strict handling and storage laws), which isn't theirs, but goes back to the military upon completion of service (unless they want to buy them).
And guns are allowed in Honduras. They have a pro-gun culture, like ours. And their gun violence problems are exacerbated, to a large degree, by the nearly infinite amount of guns they can traffic back to Honduras from our horrible attempt to regulate guns, because of the terrorist organization for profit known as the NRA.

well, you make it seem as if tarriff's, by themselves, have caused farmer's dilemmas. Now, I will agree, that although not 100% pertinent, tariffs on items like coffee, bananas made little sense. On the other hand, farmers had problems well before tariffs, with some (energy/fuel/fertilizer) generated by government policy and others by natural causes - bird flu, screw worm, weather.
It's not easy being a farmer, and I don't believe this is the first time farmers have received government subsidies - and likely won't be the last.
Just to be clear, I'm not a fan of the use of tariffs as a means of government policy solely for the apparent purpose we're using them. But, tariffs have been around maybe since the creation of our country.
