Cohen has said that Bracewell doesn't have the type of arm that bounces back quickly enough to be a true closer (I don't know if his previous arm issues have anything to do with that). So, I don't see them putting him in that role. With Stratton's history, I can see the logic behind letting those two work as starter 1A and starter 1B because they look like they have the best stuff on the staff. It could be a psychological ploy to help Stratton as well. Or you could start Routt, Stratton, and Mitchell and let Bracewell be the first long reliever out of the pen for the first one of those starters that struggles. However it is approached, I think it is safe to say we will only see Bracewell once a week for quite awhile.

I completely agree with this lineup. I think Renfroe and Woodruff in the outfield gives us the best lineup at the plate. Wish we had a shortstop that had some pop.

when he is able to keep the ball down in the zone. However, for the first time this year, when he came into the UConn game he was having a lot of trouble with the ball getting up in the strike zone and UConn hammered it and got their 4 runs. The 3 run dinger he gave up was a belt high fast ball right over the middle of the plate. But then after a couple of innings he began locating again and got back in control of the game. Stratton's success this year will be determined on how well he is able to locate and keep the ball down in the zone.
