Our offense has been non existent for a while now, it's time for some changes. Our pitching will keep us in games and win several games for us. I'd sit Vick, Detz and Britton. I would start Britton when Mitchell is on the mound.

Armstrong - CF
Henderson - RF
Pirtle - 2B
Garner - DH
Rea - 1B
Humprhies - 3B
Heck - SS
Collins - C
Bradford/Brown/Robson - LF

Vickerson has absolutely no business starting for us right now.

I wouldn't want him hitting 9th, much less 1st.

Coming into tonight detz led the team in bat avg and obp in our 10 conf games. He needs to play third. Let hump and garner fight it out at dh. Robson is a pinch runner and thats it.

It's tough to justify Britton being on the field batting .120 halfway through the season. I think Pirtle should bat 3rd.

I agree. Vickerson is hitting 194 with a 250 obp in conf. Yet he appears untouchable. He had a critical k last night with a man on third and one. Out. Ironically he is otherwise a flyball machine.

I tend to agree on Robson. The point I was trying to make is anybody but Vickerson. I just don't get it with Vickerson, especially at lead off and LF. If you're gonna have an outfielder who is a dead out at least make sure that is either a great CF or a RF with a cannon arm.

I don't care if Britton can't hit. There isn't another 3b in the league that has the arm from third that he does. He is our best option at third because of that. The play Stevenson beat out last night was because of Detz's weak arm. Britton has a cannon from 3rd and we need it on the field. As too why Garner and Hump aren't playing, I have no idea but they should at least be getting AB's over Bradford, Detz, or Vickerson.

Well if we had 8 hitters to play with britton, I'd agree. Unfortunately we don't have 8 (nowhere near), so we need some offense

If I'm not mistaken, Vick got the best lick off of Nola Friday night with the burner up the middle....and was called out even though the 1B foot was WAY off the bag.

Baseball is a funny game. People griped about CT and then he went to AZ and hit multiple triples. People griped about Armstrong and he is getting things accomplished at the plate. Last night he fouled off several pitches with 2 strikes before getting the single through the left side of the infield.

Love Armstrong. I want him leading off

You think we should not change anything with the lineup? I can understand a case being made for Britton to stay in the lineup and Detz as well. However, I can make no case for Vickerson, especially at lead off. I'd rather brown groundout every at bat and get some experience.

I don't care how good of a defensive player you are. If you're hitting around .100 you should not be in the lineup, period. Especially when the team has as much trouble scoring runs as we do.
