I was told today by one of my old teammates that he called Polk today and coach told him he couldn't talk long because he had to go to an interview of a Baseball coach. So that eliminated the thought they already had someone lined up when they pulled the trigger on Lemonis.

Yep, he literally wrote the Book of Baseball. Allways wondered how many of the Baseball Playbooks he sold over the years. Just about every high school, college, and MLB coach in America had one on their shelves.

The irony is not lost on me that OUR legendary coach, unlike most other places, didn't actually win our first national title. Instead, ours choked in Omaha, ruined our program, and then our first national title was subsequently won by a guy we fired.

And you could almost say Cohen could be that guy but hard to immortalize him when he's now AD at another SEC school.

It's like we are the most toxic actual 'brand' imaginable. But hey we wouldn't be Miss Stake if we weren't backasswards in doing things while dreaming of being like the others.

Polk was helping his old school (UG). Then both could be true. A coach was already picked out and Polk is helping with his replacement. Then Selman is playing chess while everyone else tinkers with checkers

I think it is hilarious that people on here with 1/10000 of the knowledge of baseball that Polk possesses don't want him around our program. He created our program and understands what it takes to be successful but he also understands that a small percentage of players actually make it to the big league. I hope he is around our program until he passes.
