There is a camera on top of Hilbun pointed at Suttle that you can look at. Hopefully you will be able to see the wrecking ball go through the building, but the crane is on the far side

Edit: You can also loop the images from the last 24 hours or so, so after today, you can watch them take the building down in high speed

They had a gate that blocked it off and it wasn't very far from where the wrecking ball was hitting it. All the photographers and some officials might as well have been standing under it for as close at they got. The crowd was real nice on the hill in front of Suttle and then it was sparse around it.

An implosion would have been awesome, minus all the asbestos in the air. I heard that they only knocked down a few ledges and then stopped so people would leave

They are dropping the wrecking stress ball from the top down, and the debris is no more than 3-4 feet from the building. Probably the single most boring demolition they could have put together.

The main crowd is in the background on the hill and then people were spread throughout everywhere else.

This photo shows how close everyone was allowed to the actual stairwell where the ball is first knocking out.

was nothing to see at all. not what i was expecting. all they did was raise the ball about ten feet over the area they wanted to hit and drop it. you had a few piece of debry fall. they would have to do this about 3 times on the same spot before any damange was really showing. very boring and a waste of time trying to find a parking place.
