I'm a little confused......<div>
</div><div>Coach Cal is contending that his euro-forward was not paid $150K salary over three years, but was paid $150K in living expenses.</div><div>
</div><div>Last I checked, if you go out on your own playing sports, and whoever you are playing for pays you so that you can eat, stay in hotels, buy clothes, whatever - you are a professional. When I grew up playing club sports, and would go on a road trip to a tournament, mama and daddy paid for the hotel room, McDonald's, etc. - I was an amateur. Today, as an adult, when I go to a tennis tournament, guess what - I pay for my hotel, my meals, cold beer, entry fee, tee-shirt if I want one, etc. - again, amateur. </div><div>
</div><div>I bet our boy Don Jackson is cocked and ready to file a discrimination suit if the NCAA let's this slide with a foreign white player while his U.S. citizen black client had to sit 45 days for someone paying for his hotel room in 9th grade, and his daddy giving him an extra Reebok warmup suit.</div><div>
</div><div>Oh, I forgot - Cal said that Instabul, Turkey is a very expensive city to live in, therefore the young man needed a little more cash the normal. One more thing - three prep schools passed on him (including Oak Hill) - one of those prep-school coaches compared it to signing up Kevin Durant to play for him. </div><div>
</div><div>Stansbury is awesome for firing up on Cal's nonsense.</div>
