Having been here for 25 years, I have several utexas friends and quite a few work acquaintances.
I've had at least 3 of them say "sorry about the game". I've had some others say they were "nervous" about the game or turned it off at the half or whatever.
In every case, I tell them "I don't want to talk about the game" , and they STILL KEEP TALKING about it. I've just walked away twice. I told one person to "back off" when he tried to laughingly tap my shoulder.
Keep in mind - they aren't actually smack-talking, and I think that almost makes it worse.
It's almost like they think we are the ugly girl that needs a pity 17, and they feel bad for us but still can't imagine losing to us, so they give me a pity 17.
Last year was so much easier because we sucked and were never in it so I didn't really care.
Every year I live hear, I like them less and less.
