well guys looks like the season is almost upon us...THANK GOD!...and we have done a thread for worst beer so what is the best beer you have had?

I cant say for sure what is the best but Jai Alai by Cigar City Brewing is up there along with Bell's Two Hearted Ale.

its definitely not any of the beers in this video




also I think we win 8-9 games this year if dak stays healthy....if being the key word

ready.set.go!

Stone Smoked Porter - Chipotle and Terrapin Guano Loco...both are very similar

Checking my Untappd app, the last time I gave 5 stars to a beer was Southern Prohibition's Hipster Breakfast. Goose Island's Pere Jacques, Lazy Magnolia's Backwoods Belgian, and Orval are the only other ones that have earned 5 stars in my book.

The 'best' beer is always the next one! Actually, local brewery ... St Georges makes an outstanding English IPA that I will partake of shortly after 5 PM today.

Today is ... Thirsty Taco Tuesday. Tonight 4:30 to 8pm with Bro's Fish Tacos LLC Rain or shine you know you want to eat some tacos.

Even better than Jai Alai is their White Oaked Aged version. Best beer I've had will sound cliche given its reputation, but it certainly lives up to the hype IMO - Pliny the Elder.

Sorachi Ace from Brooklyn Brewing. It tastes best when when you drink it sitting on the patio at the Rusty Nail in NOLA

Is it possible to just narrow it down to one beer? I guess if I was told I had one beer to drink and could never drink another, it would be Narwhal, or Double Bastard, or...hell I don't know. Let me finish this Copperhead Amber Ale and think about it.

The best beer I have ever had is probably from Belgium or Germany, but I don't remember names.

Ones I drink all the time that are stellar are Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout and Left Hand Nitro Sawtooth Ale.

Cherry Wheat Ale that I brewed was the absolute best beer I ever had.

I quit brewing because the absolute worst beer I ever had was when I tried to repeat it with a raspberry wheat that was skunky as ****. I must have either contaminated it or not controlled the temp well enough.

If I ever get back into brewing, I will get a refrigeration unit for both the brewing and the storage afterward and a kegging system. I might do lagers as well as ale's if I get the right equipment.

So, for now, I will just stick with store bought brands until I land on something that just Wow's me. I have a sixpack each of Leinenkugel Octoberfest and Summer Wheat right now in the frig.

Not a fair question

That's like asking what's the best sex you ever had. And you know we are ways trying to top it. I love variety! One day it's a german, then a Mexican, never a French, sometimes Belgium, and a slutty PBR can be just the ticket

I'd just like to add to this thread to say..

that the best new beer I've had in recent weeks is Leinenkugal's(sp?-I'm not looking it up) Summer Shandy. That is some top notch stuff right now.

The next one

I bought some Busch Copper Lager this past weekend. It was damn good. But I really don't have a favorite. I love the taste of beer PERIOD.

First one I had after Katrina hit...about three days later. I have no idea what kind of beer it was.

I bet it was. I remember being up in Wisconsin with my Pop fishing all day. Fish were really hitting. We totally forgot to bring something to drink. By the time we pulled up to his dock I was completely dried out. He steps down the dock to the cooler we forgot and tosses me a nasty *** Old Style that I promptly drained in about two gulps.

Still the best drink of beer I've ever had.
