If you are here to post and actual have some sort of intelligent conversation post away. If you are here to troll, and just post stupid **** to argue you will be treated with a zero tolerance policy. You idiots have gone full on window licking dumbass since Saturday night and it is getting old. Keep that **** on NAFOOM where the majority of posters will actually think it is funny.

Surely I'm not the only one that notices that you call someone a troll (or morning shift, etc) when they disagree with you or try to refute a State poster. Even if they are trying to "actual(ly) have some sort of intelligent conversation."

You, Hartfield, have been the one going ballistic when a Rebel poster says absolutely anything.

There are quite a few Rebel posters on here that bring something to this place. The ones that bring absolutely nothing are the ones that are getting old.

Keep in mind this is first and foremost a Mississippi State board. DS has always said other fans are welcome but not with the intent of starting a bunch of crap. That's what's happening now and it needs to stop, one way or another.

Serious querstion, what draws yall to come post on an MSU board so much. I mean occasionally is one thing but I get the feeling there are dozens of yall lurking here all day everyday. You sometimes are as annoying as a bunch of gnats.

This is an MSU board an it gets damn annoying that there are so many OM posters who swarm here every time we discuss something that doesn't line up with the OM party line and make it your mission to "put us in our place."

It's a good sports message board. Period. We have a lot of common recruiting interests and opponents. Unfortunately we have a lot of bad posters (I am sure I am often considered one) as any other fan base
does.

2. youth travel baseball observations - i need to know these things so I have something to talk about at DeSoto County social gatherings

3. late 80s/early 90s Starkville/MSU sporting event/Golden Triangle nostalgia posts- i went to a lot of games when I was a kid with my msu friends

4. figuring out new things your fanbase embraces to defile and profane (no offense)

I have no doubt about the benefits yall get from reading SPS because it`s obvious many of you have no life outside of Ole Miss and this is a place that you can probably obtain and later plagiarize some original thoughts to some of your boring, one dimensional bear buddies but my question was why do you feel so compelled to post so much.

Well I can't speak for anyone else, but as you can see, I'm not a regular poster. This is only my 30th post actually.

I come hear to read what others are saying.

My usual day goes like this:
Check Red Cup for a few minutes after my alarm goes off but before I get up (to shake off the grog).
Check SixPack during my morning dump (usually around 9:30).
Check Team Speed and the SBNation site of that week's opponent during my morning snack (usually around 10:30).

Recheck Red Cup during lunch. Make some rounds to the others depending on time. I may check ED during this time (to see the crazies).

My afternoon is just scanning around the threads from the above sites that piqued my interest.

As to why, it is because I enjoy reading what other people have to say about their team, my team, sports in general, etc.

I normally don't care if Ole Miss posters post here because if they are being stupid then generally they will get what they deserve.

However, this "spoiled child temper tantrum over their sibling getting all the attention" routine because Day stepped on an LSU player is strictly about State stealing the limelight. I cannot think of any other rational reason for so many fans losing their collective **** over something that does not concern them in the slightest.

Board you can post on and be respected if you behave yourself. I can't find the ole miss equivalent. I loved Nafoom for years but it has become infected with several dumbasses that unfortunately control the dialogue there now.

Not sure if you were ever on the old Clarion Ledger blog for MSU sports, but it was horrific. No matter what happened with our sports programs that day or the next it was loaded with OM trolls. We continually had more posted comments on that blog then any other. Unfortunately at least 50% were moronic statements from the trolls.

The OM blog was the same with MSU trolls. It still is just with Facebook posts instead of anonymous.

Noticed that you check on the 'crazies' on ED but don't even bother checking with the bear 'crazies' on NAFOOM. That speaks 'volumes.'

Ha yea I don't go to NAFOOM because it always messes up on my phone. Plus I get the interaction with Ole Miss fans on Red Cup.

And yes, Six Pack has a lot less crazy on it than ED. Usually.

Yes, I know. You think I'm annoying and could ban me at anytime. Again, I apologize for being born and having the audacity to post here but I like Sixpack because it's usually funny. You really do seem like you have some anger issues against all things Bearsharks though.

And I definitely don't have anger issues. I don't get mad at message boards. There are quite a few om posters I don't have issues with. Arlo, Godfrey, Optimus, shameless self promoter to name a few. You on the other hand comes across like a damn clown, and to borrow a saying from you I'm obviously not the only one that feels that way. And reb bear shark? You sound like an idiot saying that as well.

I know a few Rebel posters on here that can vouch I don't take this stuff as serious as you want to believe

Well, I guess everybody thinks you're a jerk to Rebel posters because well, you are. But Godfrey doesn't post on here anymore and OP4 barely does anymore. So I can see why you like them. Arlo posts on here sometimes but pretty rarely in my humble opinion. Shamless Self Prometer? Yeah, he hasn't posted in a long time over here. He's a great poster too. In fact, he's one of my extremely good friends. So basically, people that hardly ever post here are the ones that you like. But if your not one of the chosen 4 then you're allowed to act like an *** to them.

The other day I did exactly like you wanted. I agreed with you that Sowell was a piece of ****, congratulated your team, and apologized that I "annoy" you. Yet, I'm still a piece of **** and a "clown." Yeah, you definitely sound like a reasonable guy.

As a certified Message Board Expert, here are my thoughts. I don’t see anything wrong with rivals conversing on a message board. Call me crazy, but I think it’s possible for guys to root for opposing teams and still have civil and entertaining discussions. In fact, I think it actually benefits a board to have opposing viewpoints because it helps to keep the lunatics in check, and let’s be honest, sometimes it’s fun to argue with/laugh at opposing fans. Hell I would enjoy having some more reasonable (keyword) MSU posters on Nafoom (pls come back to us Lyle). I enjoy the interaction, which is why I also post here. At the end of the day it’s all for entertainment. Some people take this stuff way too seriously.

With that said, I recognize this is an MSU board, that I’m a visitor here, so I don’t come here trying to antagonize or troll. I don’t come in with TO THE RESCUE posts trying to interject the Bear point of view at every opportunity. On the exceedingly rare occasions that OM has done something wrong, I will even occasionally acknowledge it.

I think the mistake some OM posters make is trying to combat everything said about OM. I probably disagree with 90% of the stuff said here about OM, but that’s to be expected; it’s an MSU board. It's better to pick and choose times when a topic is worthy of legitimate discussion or a poster has said something so idiotic that ridicule is in order. (There used to be more opportunities for this before a certain band of idiots departed.)
