How did it affect you?

It may very well have made you uncomfortable - that's a you problem, not a Michael Sam problem.

Are you scared you might question your sexuality? Because that's the only thing you could be scared of..Who gives a 17 if the guy loves another man..No reason for him not to love someone compared to a person marrying 5 times and getting a divorce because they no longer "love" their spouse.. I wish the dumb 17 bigots like you would take the short trip back to Elite Dawgs and never come back.. It's the 21st century get the 17 over it you douchelord

He's referring to an earlier post by a dumb *** that said 90% of America was uncomfortable with Sam doing that.

I didn't either, and to say it's "out of the norm" or what have you for people living in Mississippi, that's fine.

But uncomfortable? That's silly, unless you think it could lead to you being attracted to other dudes - and that this would cause you personal hardship.

I assume you think the same when two women kiss?

Gay dudes kiss each other. Their secret is out now.

I really don't care what Michael Sam does, but I'm not gonna lie. I'd much prefer to see two hot women kiss than two men.

Does not effect me, except tired of hearing about it....

As Travis Tritt song said "Here's a Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares....". People can be "whatever", but tired of all the hoopla over people who are outside what is considered the norm. What's next, a parade for the farmer who flocks his sheep?

I'm not uncomfortable, but how many other late round pics were televised?

If your gay, be gay, I don't give a ****. Why does the media have to make a big deal about it? That's the problem, let's just all be equal and move the 17 on.

Well personally I thought it was sick also. I don't care if he's gay or not but it's sports and it doesn't need to air crap like that on air for all our young kids to see. Let me ask you, watching espn did you expect him to be licking cake off another mans face? Disgusting

Some things gross people out. Seeing two guys lock lips kind of grosses me out. Maybe like seeing HD6 shirtless might gross out a few other people. #black

Is uncomfortable the right choice of words? Not sure but I can definitely see how people were taken aback from it.

It was/is a big story. And I don't really have a problem with them hooking up on TV. Just didn't expect it and people shouldn't be surprised that some people weren't fond of it.

In about 10 years - no one will bat an eye. Kind of like - I think it was Roseanne (TV show) - had the lesbian kiss. No one cares anymore.

My only complaint is believing that someone is automattically an idiot bigot if they don't like it. They can dislike it and still treat people equally.

I'm not arguing for me. I don't give a ****. I just laugh that every time someone's beliefs aren't progressive, they are automatically considered backward and stupid. For example, I've been told many times that I am some sort of backward hillbilly because I kill my own food. Yet many of the same people love this organic meat craze. Doesn't get more organic than what I do. I know this is apples and oranges but the attitude is the same.

Just argue with them based on logic. You'll see which ones are actually idiots rather quickly.

I'm curious if the media will continue to make this a big story.

It seems like it would put more pressure on Sam, and if I were Sam I would want to be left alone and be treated like any other NFL rookie.

Sam was the "first to market". The next guy that plays football who announces he is gay won't be as big of news. Sam almost killed two birds with one stone - he announced to his teammates he was gay and is now a NFL player that is gay.

So whoever announces in either college or pro won't be as big of a deal.

a really good example is almost no one has mentioned that his boyfriend is white. 30 years ago that would have been the story with a white woman.

The first thing I thought was that we had all been deceived. Up to that point (the kiss) I had bought into the NFL`s giving a really good football player a chance to play even though he was gay and that had never happened before. OK cool. When I saw all the kissing and mouth to mouth cake swapping I realized it was so over the top that it wasn`t about football, it was about indoctrinating myself and anyone else and anyone else (whether they wanted to be or not) watching to the homosexual lifestyle. Then Sam goes on record today saying he should have been taken in the first three rounds basically insinuating his sexuality kept people from drafting him higher. Now I really don`t know whether Sam came out to relieve the pressure of being "in the closet" or assure himself of some sort of victim status that would somehow work to his advantage. I mean if he`s first three round talent won`t it show up in training camp or are they going to just hold him back because he`s gay ?

This whole thing is starting to smell like a big social engineering soap opera and no matter how much name calling and typing you "progressive" guys do on message boards the NFL let this thing get out of hand and the original spirit which supposedly drove this "event" to take place is long gone. I would bet a bunch of billionaire owners are not happy right about now.

Just because someone finds 2 guys kissing gross doesn't make them a bigot. Take your liberal strawman ******** and shove it up your ***.

I'm with you. I'm about as progressive as they come, but seeing it unexpectedly made me a little uncomfortable. Same as seeing two ugly people make out would. I'm happy for anybody who finds somebody, and I don't think ESPN did anything wrong showing it. Just cause I might make a face when I see an NFL DE kiss another man doesn't mean I won't support his right to do it.

This is apparently gonna come as a shock to you, but a) gay men kiss each other, especially at very emotional/happy times (like other couples) and b) football players good enough to get drafted usually have a pretty big ego (like other top-tier athletes).

It was totally disgusting. I was grossed out and I don't even live in Mississippi. To hell with all the "progressives" who want to celebrate perversion.
