It's kind of amazing, when you think about it, that we're so far ahead even WITHOUT real grass. I've only done rough mathematical projections, but they have us moving into the top 5 if we had real grass.

guys...he is right.

clearly two of these:

with this:

and this:

tacked on are clearly superior to this:

is it not obvious? yall are clearly blind.

look....we even have holes in our roof with mud and rebar EVERYWHERE!!!!!

coupled with our dirt-covered mud floors, the choice is obvious. dilapidated stucco over 4x8 ply > faux brick and i will fight anyone that says otherwise.

LSU and A&M already had nice stadiums...

I believe LSU's and A&M's have also been under renovation, but they were voted #1 & 2, respectively. Perhaps LSU & A&M showed the stadium experts drawings of what the stadiums will look like when completed, and maybe y'all just didn't have any pictures handy?

LSU and A&M are just making theirs even bigger and better than they already were. Have you ever been to either?

This is our first renovation since 2002 besides the video board.

So if you're not measuring the playing fields what exactly are you measuring here? Don't you think it's a little weird to be dick measuring how nice your bleachers are compared to MSU's?

If you're not convinced by Athlon's crack team of unbiased stadium experts, then perhaps these stadium experts will convince you:

MSU #68

TSUN #22

Granted, these ranking are from last year, so I guess it's possible y'all have closed the 46-slot gap since that time.

Sounds to me like this guy is ranking game day atmosphere not stadiums and in that case no 17ing way does MSU have the 68th best game day atmosphere in the country. I mean he admits he includes the Groooooove into his assessment of Ole Miss so why did he leave out the Junction for MSU? I admit though when you add in chandeliers, red solo cups and cold chicken tenders MSU can not stack up to the Black Bears.

"The experience all starts with tailgating on the Grove, a 10-acre stretch of tailgating heaven right outside the stadium.
Once inside, expect the fans to not only be loud, but also show a little hatred toward the opposition. That is just how they do it in the SEC. They love their football, and the Ole Miss faithful are no different."

Oh, sure. Next you'll probably tell me he didn't visit all 125 stadiums, right? Look, if you won't take the experts at Athlon's & Bleacher Report's word for it, that's your business. Agree to disagree, I guess.

Well I was

skeptical of the rankings, even with the staDIUm ExPERtz given their views, but this article from bleacher report just erases all doubt. Obviously, the National Enquirer sports writer was underfunded this year. What a shame. I would have liked to known their opinion.****

I know. It's almost like I'm intentionally citing dumb rankings and making obviously sarcastic statements to illustrate the absurdity of engaging in stadium smack. What say you, John Cooper? Yet another stadium expert by my count.

And that ranking is pre-DWS expansion and has Ole Miss a whopping 1 spot ahead of us and again they add in the Grooooooooooooooooove yet make no mention of the Junction.

"It’s hard not to mention anything about Ole Miss without The Grove. Yes, it’s football’s finest tailgating time, but it’s not part of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium."

and for the MSU part

"Season tickets are sold out again in 2013, and that’s a massive reason why there’s a $75 million upgrade going on to add more seats."

Wow. Again.

The truth cannot be denied. I mean, first, it's the stadium experts. Then, BOOM...BLEACHER REPORT!!!

One would be an idiot to argue it at this point. However, as we all know, the world is full of idiots. So what do you do to combat those idiots? You pull out ANOTHER stadium exPERT!!!1 This expert has it in plain view, for all to see!

11. OM
12. MSU

There you go folks. 17ing done deal! I mean think about it. 11!!!?? an ENTIRE WHOLE NUMBER above MSU! To add insult to injury, this doesn't even take into account (again) the future possibility of real grass!!! CASE MOTHER 17ing CLOSED!!!!1

Even real grass would rather hang out in the Grooooooooove than be inside VHS

I don't have many rules in life, but one is this: IF Sebastian Lena says I need to visit a place before I die, I tend to listen.

"Pair that with a unique experience at the Grove—a 10-acre stretch meant for tailgating—and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is the place to be on Saturday."

Just can't seem to find a ranking that doesn't add in the Groooooooooove can ya?

Press Box

One thing that hasn't been mentioned in regards to the experts opinion is where, if the experts actually visited, likely sat to form the their opinions. That location is in the press box. I haven't been in the press box at any other SEC stadium, but I hope Davis Wade is in the running for one of the crappiest press boxes. That place is a dump. The rest of the stadium, particularly after the west side concourse renovations, is above average in the league. Now with the N. endzone expansion we shouldn't be having this debate.

You are comparing OM gameday and the grove. We are talking about stadiums only.

If you put DWS and VHS side by side - they are pretty much the same and with my biased eyes - I would take DWS.

I'm not comparing anything. I admittedly haven't been to DWS in some years, so I have little to compare. It's the unbiased stadium experts who are doing the comparing. I'm just taking their word for it.

But you don't

have anything to back that up. Not one stadium expert. You sure as hell don't have bleacher report backing you.*****

I was alive then but wasn't yet an Ole Miss fan, so I don't know if I can count those. I need a ruling.

Living in the past is what y'all are best at. Do you think you'll be alive to see Ole Miss win 5 of 6 future Egg Bowls starting today?

I try not to focus on meaningless statistics. . . . Did you know we're 3 & 3 in the Magnolia Bowl the last 6 years? Really excited about making it 4 out of 7 this year.

Hahahahaha good LSU is your real rival so please go troll their board for the next 6 years and then check back in to see if you've won 5 of the last 6 Egg Bowls with us.
