When he was hired, it was a private plane that was owned by a big alumni. We were all tracking crazy flights and they used this plane for the entire coaching search. If you can find the video of Mullen getting off the plane, you should be able to get the tail number and track where it has been.

Not saying they used it again this time, but they did for the Mullen coaching search.

They usually do these interviews in airports or hotels somewhere. I usually don't pay much attention to tracking planes, but I know some of y'all know a little more about this kind of stuff than I do.

into Atlanta for the interview or was there due to the SEC Championship game. The interview may have taken place there simply because that is where Mullen was at the time. Like you, I do not know.

I just know from talking with some coaches on the staff that the plane used was owned by an alumni that allowed them to use it for the coaching search.

They brought a couple hundred to the series. Not out of the realm of possibility that they have some big donors with chartered flight capabilities in Wichita.

Where did it fly in to GTR from?

Doubtful Marshall chartered his own aircraft to interview in Vegas. Since it flew in from Wichita Friday, I'm going to guess wealthy father of UA players came to watch his son play.

common than you think it is that coaches would accept a job before looking at facilities.

fly out of STF not GTR and they have tracking blocked now after the Mullen search. You will never again be able to see where Stricklin or Keenum are heading.

Besides, travel arrangements of a public figure aren't exactly FOI type things.

The jets the university operated at that time were, N404MS which is MSU's Beechjet, N90FB owned by Furniture Brands and N97FC owned by Franklin Corporation. N90FB is no longer operated by MSU.<div>
</div><div>The original plan was to use 404MS but the plan changed to use the NetJets aircraft that morning.
</div><div>
</div><div>As for the current search, no department including the athletics department is obligated to use the university aircraft to travel or conduct business. They can and do use everything from Airlines and charter flights to personal and corporate aircraft owned by boosters.</div>
