Looking at NPC Week 1

Here are the list of NPC ( North Piedmont 3A conference) games that I found on Max Preps. Unless changes have been made.

South Iredell vs Alexander Central
Statesville at Mitchell Co.
North Iredell at Mount Airy
West Rowan at Salsibury
Carson at South Rowan
East Rowan at Mt. Pleasant

I’m not going to predict any games for week 1. It’s early. Not of whole lot of practice time with teams. And the way things is going some may even get cancelled because of Covid.
But I am interesting in seeing results.

Statesville at Mitchell Co will be interesting. Curious to see how Statesville will do up in the cold country. We will see how South Iredell does against Reagan. Anyone know how Reagan will look this season.
I’m excited and looking for hopefully a safe and successful season. Best of luck to all teams.

Statesville want be the same with several players option out for early College. Mitchell was really good last year. Don't know what they might have this year. This match up could be interesting

MT Airy should be heavily favored over North Iredell

I will favor Reagan over South Iredell

I had to make a change in schedule. South will play Alexander Central 1st game of 2/26. and Reagan the 2nd game of 3/5.

Statesville's spread and speed should cause problems for Mitchell. They're not built for or is used to seeing spread teams and speed like Statesville. Why was this even scheduled 1a vs. 3a??

I think South beats AC. 24-21.
WR over Salisbury 17-7
MA over NI 42-6
Carson over SR 21-13

Looks like some cold nasty weather for Friday up Bakersville, Mitchell Co. High 37 low 36 with 80% cold rain. Could see snow up in that area. Interesting to see if Statesville will play this Friday.

I heard they may switch game sites due to the rain but I haven’t heard anything official tho

West Rowan at Salsibury will be interesting. Salsibury has a player Jalon Walker OLB. From my understanding has big offers from different colleges like Alabama. He played in 2AA State Championship game against Shelby back in 2019. Be interesting to see if Salsibury can make another deep run.

After doing some research I feel like the West Rowan n Salsibury game will be the one to keep an eye on.
Salsibury has some good quality players
Jalon Walker 6’3 210 OLB, Nation highly recruit. A couple good lineman at 280 and one at 6’ 5 330. Also MLB at 6’2 at 210.
With West Rowan Zeek Biggerd 6’5 DT 330. A hard to stop player and my understanding he is going to Georgia Tech.
I believe Salsibury could make deep run depending how things match up in playoffs.

Ac will be without 10 starters tonight due to covid. The whole starting backfield and online and some defensive players also. South should win

South won over Alexander Central 7-2. I didn’t see the game but I know AC had players out. I thought maybe South could won more than that. Any AC fans have insight on the game.
Also Salsibury up over West Rowan 34-0 with a min left in 3rd last I seen. Have feeling Salsibury is going to be really Good this year.

watched it online. Both offenses looked horrible. Both defenses look really good. According to radio Ac had 15 starters out not 10. I'm not sure if south was missing any players or not. Neither team really threw the ball. Ac should get alot of players back next week against Watauga hopefully. A few of them would have been able to play if the game was played tomorrow.

It's going to be a crazy season for sure. Both teams will get better. Both defenses held the offenses under 200 yards. I'm sure every team will deal with covid issues this season. I'm just glad we have some football to watch!

Mitchell Co with the win over Statesville 14-7. I was able to listen to the game. Statesville has a lot of work to do. I don’t think they have the pieces together yet. Young team. Plus no scrimmage didn’t help. I do hand it to Mitchell Co. Sounded like they were built like lumberjacks. But I feel Statesville will get better. At this point I’m not really sure who wins the NPC yet. Anything can happen.
