for the golden egg tomorrow night. Lots of factors will come into play such as turnovers, officiating, and possible injuries. However, in my opinion the most important factor will be coaching. Freeze has come close to maximizing his team's potential. The bears still have significant defensive weaknesses that the Bulldogs could exploit. Will Dan Mullen use his team's strengths to exploit the bear secondary, or will we see that pathetic game plan he rolled out for the TAMU game? Tomorrow we will see if our coaches are worth their salaries.

The team is 8-3; the coaches have already earned their salaries

However, it would be nice to win

I agree to a certain extent....

Everyone has to be accountable....coaches, players and even fans to show up and support the program. If you take a step back and look at the big picture, we've came a hell of a long way in three years.

Granted, I am happy with 8 - 3, but.....

..... I don't think any were "good" wins. All of our wins could have been coached by many other coaches out there. Also, we have not been competitive in games that we were supposed to compete in, which speaks a lot louder towards our coaches' effectiveness, than our cupcake wins.

Our record this season is most attributable to talent and schedule, not coaches.

Merlinz likes this matchup. He is passionate about this one. He thinks we are competitive in this one. We'll be ready.

MSU was a 22 point underdog to Alabama and a 15 point underdog to LSU ... in what way were we supposed to compete in those games?

I really have no idea how good we are 11 games into the season. It really is crazy. The 8 games we have won were against terrible, terrible teams (3 of which are a combined 0-21 in the SEC). However, the 3 games we lost were to 3 of the top 5 teams in the nation in my opinion. 3 of the top 9 teams in the nations opinion. It does bother me when people said we sucked after getting beat by Bama, A&M, and LSU back to back to back. I mean seriously what were we supposed to do in that stretch? Looking back now, if you really expected us to beat any of those three, you're an idiot.
